Two desperate teams do battle to kick off Week 7 on Thursday Night Football, with the New Orleans Saints visiting the Arizona Cardinals. Player props are available for a Saints vs Cardinals matchup that features two teams sporting identical 2-4 records and in danger of finding themselves in a deep hole in the playoff race.

This contest carries a 44-point total to kick off the Week 7 slate. Both the Saints and Cardinals are hobbling coming in, with key skill position players out of the game.

The Saints are sixth in the league in yards per contest, despite not having starting QB Jameis Winston for half of their games. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 22nd in points per game, as Kyler Murray has been without some of his weapons at different points of the season.

They’ll be getting star wideout DeAndre Hopkins back this week (suspension), plus the Cards acquired receiver Robbie Anderson from the Panthers this week. This gives bettors some new options to consider for their TNF props.

Let’s dive into the top player props to make for your Saints vs Cardinals picks in NFL Week 7.

Both Andy Dalton and Kyler Murray are lined at 1.5 passing touchdowns in the odds above. Alvin Kamara has the highest rushing total set at 61.5, while Chris Olave has the highest receiving total prop at 61.5 yards.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 pm ET. It’s expected to be clear with barely any wind the entire game.

TNF Prop: Alvin Kamara Over 61.5 Rushing Yards

After a low output in Week 1, Alvin Kamara has done his best to keep the Saints’ season alive, amidst a slew of injuries, including his own (he missed weeks 2 and 4). In Week 3 against Carolina, he racked up 61 rushing yards. The two games that have followed have seen him return to his five-time Pro Bowl form.

In his last two contests, Kamara has rushed for 103 and 99 yards, while also picking up 116 total yards through the air. With Jameis Winston expected to miss this game, New Orleans will surely lean more on the ground game which is great news for Kamara rushing props. That’s beneficial against Arizona, as they’re the 25th-ranked rush D, according to Pro Football Focus.

  • TNF Prop Pick: Alvin Kamara Over 61.5 Rushing Yards (-125), 1 unit

Alvin Kamara is tied with DeAndre Hopkins for the shortest odds to record the first TD. Kamara hasn’t found pay dirt thus far on the campaign. Hopkins is returning after serving a six-game suspension.

TNF Prop: Olave Strikes First

Chris Olave was the third receiver selected in this past draft (11th overall), and he’s been everything as advertised in the early going. He leads rookie receivers with 389 yards (at least 41 in every game). The last two contests he played he recorded touchdowns as well.

His last game he found the end zone but suffered a concussion on that TD catch against Seattle. He missed last week but is expected to suit up in this one and should be considered in your Saints vs Cardinals props. Arizona hasn’t scored a TD in the first quarter all season, so expecting a Cardinal to find the end zone first is a dicey proposition.

As for an anytime TD scorer, it’d be surprising if the Cards didn’t try to liven up their offense by feeding the ball to their #1 target in DeAndre Hopkins (they scored no offensive TDs last week). In his last six games of 2021, Hopkins racked up five touchdowns.

TNF Touchdown Prop Picks:

  • Chris Olave First TD (+1100), 1 unit
  • DeAndre Hopkins Anytime TD (+115), 1 unit
