Two teams coming off big season-opening wins clash on Sunday as the Los Angeles Rams host the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers in NFL Week 2 action. San Fran come into this one as big favorites in the 49ers vs Rams odds on Sunday.
The 49ers picked up right where they left off last season in Week 1, as they rolled to a 30-17 victory in Pittsburgh to extend their current SU win streak in regular season action to 11 games. The Rams overcame injury woes and tempered expectations to stun the Seattle Seahawks in a 30-13 road win last weekend, but are winless in three straight home dates with divisional rivals.
Let’s analyze the 49ers vs Rams odds and offer our prediction for this Week 2 NFL game.
San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline Odds | Total |

49ers vs Rams Recent History
Sunday afternoon’s matchup marks the first of two meetings between these NFC West rivals this season. After sweeping last year’s season series, the 49ers have now won and covered in eight of nine dates with the Rams, and six of eight head-to-head clashes in Los Angeles.
The Niners have effectively shut down the Rams attack, surrendering just 16.1 points per game to LA over their past seven dates, and have claimed victory by double-digit margins in three of their past five meetings. With the Rams struggling to score, the UNDER has gone 5-2 of their past seven clashes when looking at past 49ers vs Rams picks.
San Francisco 49ers Betting Outlook
Brock Purdy and the 49ers wasted no time silencing the naysayers in last week’s victory over Pittsburgh. In his return after undergoing offseason elbow surgery, Purdy wasted no time powering the Niners to an early 20-0 lead on the strength of a pair of scoring passes to Brandon Aiyuk, and compiled 220 yards on 19-of-29 passing on the day.

Christian McCaffrey also enjoyed an impressive season debut, running for 152 yards and one score. McCaffrey has now recorded a scoring run in five straight road appearances since joining the Niners last season, and leads the NFL player props as a +425 bet to score the first touchdown on Sunday.
Things are also good on the injury front. George Kittle was limited at practice early in the week, landing him on the Niners injury report with a groin injury, but ended the week as a full participant, and likely to play on Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams Betting Outlook
No Cooper Kupp, no problem for Matthew Stafford, who flashed vintage form while leading the Rams to their 30-7 rout of the Steelers last week as 4.5-point road underdogs. Stafford set the tone and pace for last Sunday’s game while tossing for 334 yards.
In the absence of the injured Kupp, Stafford quickly developed chemistry with rookie Puka Nacua, who made 10 catches on the day for 119 yards. The fifth-round pick out of BYU has been limited by an oblique injury since making his sensational debut, but is expected to be ready for Sunday.

Tutu Atwell stepped up with six catches for 119 yards. However, duplicating those numbers this week could be a challenge against a Niners pass defense that limited the Steelers to just 198 passing yards last week, and ranked fifth last season while allowing just 20 total scoring passes.
That leaves the challenge to the Rams rushers Cam Akers and Kyren Williams, who combined for 81 total yards and all three Los Angeles scores last weekend.
49ers vs Rams Prediction
There is no pressure on this Rams team going into Sunday’s action. Widely expected to fall flat last week, the Rams are proving to be more competitive than many observers expected, and with Matthew Stafford showing midseason form, they should enjoy more offensive success against San Francisco than the Steelers did and good picks in our 49er vs Rams prediction.
