Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (31) blows a kiss to fans after scoring a touchdown against the New York Jets during the first half of an NFL game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Dec. 17, 2023.
  • The public loves the Dolphins to win straight-up against the 0-3 Titans
  • Miami is still without QB Tua Tagovailoa and will give Tyler Huntley his first start with the team
  • Below, see the Titans vs Dolphins public-betting splits and injury reports for Monday Night Football

Two struggling franchises square off on Monday Night Football this evening when the winless Tennessee Titans (0-3, 0-1 away, 0-3 ATS) visit the Miami Dolphins (1-2, 1-1 home, 0-3 ATS) at Hard Rock Stadium at 7:30 pm ET. Miami and Tennessee kickoff a MNF doubleheader with the Seattle Seahawks vs Detroit Lions commencing 45 minutes later.

Despite starting QB Tua Tagovailoa missing his second straight game, the Titans vs Dolphins odds slightly favor Miami. New QB Tyler Huntley – a former Baltimore backup – will make his first start for the Phins. Sportsbooks aren’t expecting a ton of fireworks on offense: the total is sitting at just 37 points. But bettors do love Miami to get back to .500 and John Hyslop’s Titans vs Dolphins player props predict a respectable outing from Huntley.

Team Spread ATS Handle% ATS Bet% Moneyline ML Handle% ML Bet% Total Points O/U Handle% O/U Bet%
Tennessee Titans +2.5 50% 32% +120 17% 15% O 37.0 85% 78%
Miami Dolphins -2.5 50% 68% -148 83% 85% U 37.0 15% 22%

While the public is split in terms of its ATS pick – both the Titans and Dolphins are getting 50% of ATS handle as of 1:15 pm ET – the same can’t be said of the moneyline. A massive 83% of moneyline handle (and 85% of moneyline wagers) are on Miami to win at -148. That’s the third-highest moneyline split of any team in the Week 4 NFL public betting percentages.

But the public didn’t look to clever in its other Week 4 moneyline picks. The two teams getting a higher moneyline split were the 49ers who cruised to victory as -625 favorites over the Patriots, and the Jets, who were upset 10-9 at home by the Broncos as -420 chalk.

The public is also hammering the over in tonight’s Titans vs Dolphins matchup. Roughly six hours before kickoff, 85% of over/under handle and 78% of tickets were on over 37.0 points.

It’s not terribly surprising the public doesn’t have a strong lean in the ATS market. The Titans and Dolphins are two of the three teams that have yet to record an ATS victory this season. The Houston Texans (0-3-1 ATS) are the third.

Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins Injury Reports

Tennessee Titans Injury Game Status

Miami Dolphins Injury Game Status

Terron Armstead (OT) Concussion Out
Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Concussion Out
David Long Jr (LB) Hamstring Doubtful
Raheem Mostert (RB) Chest Doubtful

The Titans have suddenly become paper-thin in the secondary. LCB Chidobe Awuzie was placed on IR with a groin injury after Tennessee’s Week 3 loss to Green Bay. Meanwhile both star RCB L’Jarius Sneed and starting SS Amani Hooker are listed as questionable.

The Titans pass defense has been the strength of the team this year, surrendering just 139.3 YPG. Turnovers from Will Levis and the offense have been to blame for the team’s 0-3 record.

The Phins are in much worse shape, injury-wise. In addition to Tagovailoa, Miami will also be without OT Terron Armstead and CB Kendall Fuller. Raheem Mostert is doubtful, leaving De’Von Achane to carry the water in the Miami backfield.
