The Boston Bruins (4-2-0) head to SAP Center to face the San Jose Sharks (3-2-0) in tonight’s late-night NHL matchup. Boston has rolled through its last two games, beating Utah 6-1 and Philadelphia 5-1. San Jose has scored four goals across its last three games, with a 5-0 loss to Dallas, a 3-2 win over St. Louis and a 3-1 loss to Edmonton.
Puck drop is at 11 pm ET / 8 pm PT. Here are my Bruins vs Sharks best bets, prediction and late-night NHL odds.
Bruins vs Sharks Best Bets
- Under 6.0 Goals (-102 at BetMGM)
My Bruins vs Sharks best bet on the total is the under, conditional on Jeremy Swayman starting in net. Swayman has been outstanding early on with a .932 save percentage and 1.79 GAA through five appearances (4-1-0). Boston allows just 2.17 goals per game through six contests.
San Jose’s offense has cooled significantly, scoring just four goals in its last three games. The Sharks’ power play is at 15.4% (2-for-13) and they’re generating 23.4 shots per game. Swayman’s form supports a smaller under play at -102, with a push at exactly six total goals, including any overtime or shootout decider.
Bruins vs Sharks Prediction
- Bruins to win (54¢ on Kalshi)
My Bruins vs Sharks prediction is on Boston. The Bruins have scored 20 goals and allowed 13 through six games (153 shots for, 163 against). Their recent form has been dominant with a combined 11-2 scoring advantage in their last two wins over Utah and Philadelphia.
San Jose has 13 goals for and 17 against through five games (117 shots for, 133 against). The Sharks got a boost when Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup on October 10, scoring against Edmonton in his return. He has one goal and five assists in three appearances this season. But Boston’s defensive structure has been the stronger early-season identity.
Boston is a slight favorite at 54¢ on Kalshi, with San Jose at 47¢. Our guide to prediction market apps explains how these contracts work. I’ll take the road team riding a two-game win streak with the better goaltending situation.
Late-Night NHL Odds
Sportsbook odds from BetMGM Ontario, converted from decimal. Winner prices from Kalshi.
The Bruins vs Sharks late-night NHL odds have Boston as a -120 road favorite. San Jose is +100 on the moneyline, making this close to even money on the home side. The total is set at 6.0 with the under at -102 and the over juiced to -118. New users can check the BetMGM promo code page for sign-up offers.
Bruins vs Sharks Team Stats and Goalies
The Bruins vs Sharks team stats show Boston being outshot 163-153 through six games. The Bruins are scoring 3.33 goals per game and allowing 2.17, so the efficiency has been there. David Pastrnak leads the team with seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) and 23 shots through six contests.
On the goaltending side, Swayman is the projected Boston starter (4-1-0, .932 SV%, 1.79 GAA). San Jose’s starter is not confirmed.
Yaroslav Askarov has a .860 save percentage and 3.71 GAA through four games (2-2-0), while Alex Nedeljkovic posted a .923 save percentage in his lone appearance (1-0-0). The Bruins vs Sharks goaltending edge depends heavily on who San Jose puts in the crease, but Swayman’s early-season form is the foundation for both of my plays.
