The Anaheim Ducks will be looking to break the Vegas curse on Tuesday night when they host the Winnipeg Jets at the Honda Center.

The Ducks are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights, which means teams are now 0-6 after playing in Vegas this season.

In the latest Jets vs Ducks odds, which shows both teams listed at -105 — making Tuesday night’s game a pick on the moneyline.

Will the Ducks have the advantage of playing on home ice, where they’ve only lost once, or will they be bitten by the Vegas curse?

Winnipeg Jets vs. Anaheim Ducks Odds

Team Moneyline Puckline Total
Winnipeg Jets -105 +1.5 (-255) O 5.5 (-115)
Anaheim Ducks -105 -1.5 (+215) U 5.5 (-104)

Odds taken October 28, 2019

When the lines opened on Monday morning, the Ducks were listed as the -120 moneyline favorites. But as the day went on, Winnipeg’s odds also improved.

Anaheim got off to such a promising start as the club won four of its opening five games and eventually moved to 6-2-0 on the season. But the Ducks fell into a slump, going on to lose four of their last five games.

The Ducks lack a proven top scorer so a lot of the points come by committee.

Forward Jakob Silfverberg and defenseman Hampus Lindholm both lead the team in scoring with nine points. Adam Henrique has eight points, seven of which are goals.

Jets Grounded Over Last Six Games

Luckily for the Ducks, Winnipeg has also struggled over its last six games. The Jets have dropped four of their last five and have just two wins in their last six games.

Adding to Winnipeg’s issues, the Jets will also be without forward Adam Lowry, who was suspended two games for boarding Calgary Flames defenseman Oliver Kylington.

The scoring woes that plagued Finnish sniper Patrik Laine late last season have carried over to this year. Laine has just three goals in 12 games, when in reality the Jets are relying on the fourth-year forward to put the puck in the net more often this season.

Ducks Open As the Puckline Favorites

Sportsbooks are giving the puckline edge to the home team, as the Ducks come in as the -1.5 favorites with odds of +215.

If you’re betting on the Ducks team that soared in the opening five games of the regular season, taking Anaheim to cover would be a great wager.

The Ducks have won by two or more goals five times this season, their latest coming in a 5-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Overall, Anaheim is 8-5 against the spread this season, but are a mediocre 3-2 ATS on home ice going into action on Tuesday night.

The Jets have been terrible ATS this season, going 5-7 overall and 2-5 on home ice. However, Winnipeg has performed better ATS on the road, covering three of their five games away from the Bell MTS Place.

Jets Have Dominated Head-to-Head Matchup

It’s hard to overlook the head-to-head matchup between these two teams, which has been dominated by the Jets over a 10-game span. Winnipeg owns a 7-2-1 during that stretch. The Jets have also won the last three against the Ducks, their last meeting resulting in a 3-0 shutout win over Anaheim in March of last season.

Expect another one-sided affair on Tuesday, with the Jets skating away with a convincing road victory. Take the Jets and “Over” 5.5 total goals.

Pick: Winnipeg Jets (-105)
