Saturday’s 14-game NHL slate offers plenty of player-prop options, but the strongest analysis still starts with role and shot volume. My NHL prop picks cover three shot totals and an anytime goalscorer, with recent form and opponent history guiding the card.

NHL Best Prop Bets

1. Jason Robertson — Over 3.5 shots on goal

  • Pick: Jason Robertson Over 3.5 shots on goal (+108 at Caesars).

Robertson remains the best volume-based NHL player props pick on the card. He cleared 3.5 shots in seven of his last 10 games, averaging 4.1 shots cleared per game. His road split is also compelling: he went over in nine of his last 13 road contests while averaging 3.85 shots.

The matchup is Dallas at Pittsburgh. Robertson’s recent trend data also contains a caution flag—he stayed under this number in four of his last five against the Penguins—but the broader recent and road samples support retaining the over at -114.

2. Evan Bouchard — Over 2.5 shots on goal

  • Pick: Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 shots on goal (-148 at BetMGM).

Bouchard is heavily involved from the Edmonton blue line and has cleared 2.5 shots in three of his last four games, averaging 4.0. Against San Jose, he has gone over in three of his last four meetings, averaging 2.75 shots on goal per game. His season profile supports the role: 16 shots, 6 goals, and 5 assists in 4 games, according to current league data.

That combination of offensive usage, power-play involvement, and matchup history keeps Bouchard among the best NHL player props on the full-slate comparison. His scoring surge also makes him relevant to the Norris Trophy odds, but my wager is on shots rather than another goal. Bouchard only needs three attempts to reach the goalie; he does not need to maintain that early shooting percentage to cash this prop.

3. Filip Forsberg — Over 2.5 shots on goal

  • Pick: Filip Forsberg Over 2.5 shots on goal (-140 at Bet365).

Forsberg’s strongest case is opponent-specific. He cleared 2.5 shots in four of his last five games against Ottawa, averaging 4.0. He also went over in nine of his last 11 road games against winning opponents, averaging 3.27 shots. The current season data lists four assists through Nashville’s first four games, reinforcing his offensive involvement even though this recommendation is strictly a shots prop.

Those road and matchup samples support my Forsberg shots-on-goal pick against Ottawa.

NHL Anytime Goalscorer Picks

Connor McDavid — Anytime goalscorer

McDavid is the supported anytime-goalscorer candidate from the full-slate review. He has three goals and nine assists through four games, leads the league in points, and has scored in two straight games against San Jose. His shot trend against the Sharks is also strong, with 6.5 shots on goal per game across those two contests.

That production makes McDavid my NHL anytime-goalscorer pick against San Jose at +115.
