Sunday’s NHL slate starts early, with the Jets and Hurricanes dropping the puck at 1 pm ET. The Wild and Capitals follow at 3:30 pm ET, before the Flyers take on Utah at 4 pm ET.
I’ve got one shots or points play from each game, plus a bonus goalscorer pick, all priced at theScore Bet. Here are my NHL player props for Sunday, plus the projected lineup notes that matter most for each pick.

Kirill Kaprizov’s shots prop is the only plus-money price of my primary three wagers, while Mark Scheifele’s points over is the most expensive. These prices were grabbed Saturday night, so some could move before puck drop.
When shopping NHL player props, check the number before the price. A half-shot difference matters more than a few cents of juice, so compare lines across NHL betting apps before you lock anything in.
Best NHL Prop Bets for Sunday
1. Kirill Kaprizov Shots on Goal
- Kaprizov Over 3.5 shots on goal (+115 at theScore Bet)
Kaprizov has 14 goals and 24 points in 15 games, with 51 shots on net. That’s 3.4 shots per game, so this over needs four, a touch above his season pace. The +115 price, roughly a 46.5% implied probability, helps cover that gap.
He’s averaging 21:44 of ice time and projects on the top line with Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy. Eriksson Ek is expected back, though his return isn’t confirmed. Quinn Hughes adds 20 points of support from the blueline.
Washington (8-4) allows 3.08 goals per game and runs a 79.5% penalty kill. The Caps also score 3.58 per game, which could keep Minnesota (9-3-3) pressing in the 3:30 pm ET start. Four shots is no lock, but I like the plus-money price.
2. Mark Scheifele Points
- Scheifele Over 0.5 points (-155 at theScore Bet)
Scheifele has 12 points in 14 games, including 10 assists. He’s playing 21:10 a night and projects on Winnipeg’s top line with Kyle Connor and Isak Rosen. This points prop sits at -155, which translates to about a 60.8% chance.
Carolina is the obvious counterpoint. The Hurricanes are the Stanley Cup odds favorite, allowing only 2.33 goals per game, while killing penalties at 82.4%. Winnipeg’s power play is converting just 17.9%, so extra-man points could be hard to find in this 1 pm ET matchup.
I’m still siding with Scheifele, given his top-line minutes and steady playmaking this season. He only needs one point to cash. Pyotr Kochetkov is projected for Carolina, while Stuart Skinner is expected in goal for Winnipeg.
3. Trevor Zegras Shots on Goal
- Zegras Over 1.5 shots on goal (-130 at theScore Bet)
I’m also going over on Trevor Zegras’s shots against Utah. He has 34 shots in 15 games, or 2.27 per game, along with 13 points. The -130 price implies a 56.5% probability.
He’s averaging 18:44 of ice time and projects on a line with Christian Dvorak and Travis Konecny. Konecny is only an option to return, though. He’s missed 10 games with a lower-body injury and practiced Saturday, so watch for lineup news before the 4 pm ET start.
Utah allows 3.29 goals per game, 21st in the NHL, and its penalty kill ranks 29th at 67.4%. Karel Vejmelka is projected in goal for Utah. Zegras needs just two shots, and his season average already sits above that line.
Sunday NHL Goalscorer Picks
- Logan Stankoven (+225 at theScore Bet)
Moving over to the anytime goalscorer market, where I’m backing the Canes Logan Stankoven. The speedy center has lit the lamp five times in his past five games, and is peppering opposing goalies with an average of 3+ shots per game over the last month.
Stankoven leads Carolina in both goals and shots per game, and has created 12 more scoring chances than any of his teammates.
