Can Bayern Get it Done Without Lewandowski?
One of the biggest storylines heading into Wednesday’s first leg will be the absence of star striker Robert Lewandowski, who suffered a knee sprain on international duty with Poland.

Bayern ripped the hearts out of Lazio in the round of 16, burying the Serie A squad 6-2 on aggregate. They’ve also tasted defeat just once in their last 14 competitive fixtures when Frankfurt handed them a 2-1 loss in late March.
Although Paris has beaten the current title-holders five times in Champions League history, Bayern has won three straight games on home soil against the French side.

With another UCL victory on Wednesday, the Bundesliga giants will also become just the second team ever to go unbeaten in 20 European matches after Manchester United did so in the late 2000s.
PSG Looking to Take Advantage
Mauricio Pochettino’s men will surely be happy to see Lewandowski out and will definitely feel like they have the upper hand in the final third. Kylian Mbappe is in tremendous form while Neymar is also back and healthy, giving the Parisians their one-two punch.
Mbappe dismantled Barcelona in the last round, bagging a hat-trick in the first leg then also scoring another in the reverse fixture. The Frenchman has netted eight times in his last seven appearances.
PSG will be looking to bounce back on Wednesday from a crucial defeat to title contenders Lille over the weekend after Canadian Jonathan David broke the deadlock early in the first half. Paris now sits three points behind LOSC in second spot, but their sights will be focused on Champions League glory after finishing as runners-up last term.
Pochettino has been dealt a blow though after Italian pairing Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi both tested positive for COVID-19, which is going to force the PSG boss to make some vital changes within his squad.

Even without Lewandowski, it’s tough to go against Bayern. They haven’t lost all term long on home turf and I don’t see that changing on Wednesday.
With two rock-solid backlines, this should be a low-scoring affair, but the hosts will come out on top and head into the reverse tie with the upper hand on their quest for yet another Champions League title.
