Werder Bremen vs RB Leipzig Prediction
RB Leipzig’s title chances took a massive hit with the loss to Bayern last time out. With the league leaders coming off Champions League disappointment, though, this title race is not necessarily over. Leipzig could be just four points behind after this round of fixtures. Having been knocked out the Champions League by Liverpool, Leipzig are in a difficult run of form themselves, however.
After a run of eight wins in nine matches, Leipzig has won just one of four in all competitions. If they are to keep the title race alive down the stretch, they cannot afford for this poor run to continue. Luckily, they have a good recent record against Werder Bremen. Julian Nagelsmann has guided his side to three consecutive wins to nil against this weekend’s opponent.
Not yet safe from relegation, this is a big match for the hosts. Florian Kohfeldt’s side are in the midst of a difficult run of fixtures, and it’s left them on a three-match losing streak. They could be pulled back into the relegation battle with a defeat here on Bundesliga Matchday 28.

Leipzig have the best defense by expected goals against by a large margin. It’s three straight comfortable wins over Werder Bremen – that streak looks good to continue here, despite the visitors’ recent blip.
Pick: Leipzig to win to nil (+143)
Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Monchengladbach Prediction
Back-to-back wins over Schalke and Freiburg have given Borussia Monchengladbach a shot at the top six entering Bundesliga Matchday 28. Currently four points off Bayer Leverkusen, Gladbach could move up to seventh this weekend with Stuttgart and Union Berlin facing tough fixtures. There’s no question Gladbach have underachieved this term. The main responsibility for that disappointment is on the defense. Their 41 goals conceded is the highest tally outside of the bottom seven.
The visitors are unsurprisingly favored for their trip to the capital. Hertha Berlin have picked up seven of the last 12 available points, but they are still on just 25 for the season. They could fall back into the bottom three this weekend. Hertha have good recent history against this weekend’s opponents, which should boost their confidence further. They held Gladbach to a draw earlier in the season, making it one defeat in four previous meetings.

It’s hard to ignore the patchiness of Gladbach’s results this season. Hertha’s underlying numbers suggest their performances are better than the results – they are a good bet to continue their good record against Gladbach.
Pick: Hertha Berlin win or draw (-152)
VfB Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
It’s been a massively disappointing campaign for Borussia Dortmund. Three wins from their last eight matches has given them an uphill battle to finish in the top four. Bizarrely, though, they were excellent against Manchester City in midweek and unlucky not to win the match. They have been unable to translate performances into results in the Bundesliga, however, and are seven points off fourth after a loss to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend.

Stuttgart are one of the league’s form teams. Only four clubs have accumulated more points since the turn of the year. Their 5-1 drubbing of Dortmund earlier in the campaign was one of the shocks of the season, and it demonstrated how they can take on even one of Europe’s most talented squads. No team outside the top five has scored more than Stuttgart this term.
Over 3.5 goals has hit in 40-percent of Stuttgart’s matches. That’s up at 45-percent for Dortmund. These are two teams who prioritize goal scoring, and are vulnerable to conceding. There’s been at least four goals in the three previous meetings between these two teams – it’s the obvious pick here.
Pick: Over 3.5 goals (+125)
