Welcome to Round 2 of the UEFA Champions League regular season. Today’s expansive slate tips off with early action at 12:45 PM ET, before closing out with a massive wave of prime fixtures starting at 3:00 PM ET.
With 81 clubs fighting for top-eight direct playoff spots, early form is dictating the pace. I am tracking several heavy favorites riding one-game winning streaks, including Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and Arsenal FC. Conversely, marquee clubs like Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and RB Leipzig are surprisingly trailing outside the cutline, looking to snap one-game losing skids.
Today’s featured clashes include United operating as a dangerous road team against a reeling Madrid squad, while Arsenal defends home court against Lille OSC. Before finalizing my card, I am monitoring critical injury news. Global stars missing their first tournament games include Barcelona’s Raphinha, Munich’s Jamal Musiala, and Milano’s John Stones. Let’s dive into today’s Champions League slate.
Best Champions League Picks Today
Prices from Kalshi as of Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 8 AM EDT.
Sabah Masazir vs Slavia Prague Prediction
The Pick: Slavia Prague Moneyline (48¢)
Fading Sabah Masazir early in this tournament feels like a necessity based on their opening performance. In their first match, the Azerbaijani club managed a stunningly inefficient 10% on-target shot rate. They put just one of their 10 attempts on frame while generating an average ball possession of 0%.
Slavia Prague is far from a perfect squad, having conceded three second-half goals in their own opener. However, their offensive baseline is significantly higher. The Czech side managed 11 total shots and found the back of the net twice. Given Sabah’s non-existent possession metrics and porous defense, backing Prague on the moneyline offers tremendous value. They should be able to run a successful full-court press against such a weak midfield, creating fast-break scoring opportunities all match long.
Galatasaray Istanbul vs Barcelona Prediction
The Pick: Over 3.5 Goals (58¢)
FC Barcelona enters Round 2 looking like an absolute juggernaut on the offensive end. In their opening fixture, Hansi Flick’s squad dominated with 67% average ball possession, generating a massive 22 total shots. They poured in five goals while only conceding once, flashing an elite +4 goal difference right out of the gate.
Galatasaray Istanbul struggled to contain their opposition in Round 1, conceding three goals. While Istanbul can hold the ball, they only mustered 10 total shots. Barcelona’s sheer offensive volume and ability to score in transition make the Over 3.5 goals highly secure. I love how they are dishing assists on the break right now, pointing toward another high-scoring affair.
Viking FK vs Bayern Munich Prediction
The Pick: Over 3.5 Goals (61¢)
This matchup features the most lopsided statistical profile on today’s slate. Bayern Munich was flawless defensively in their first match, keeping a clean sheet while controlling 66% of the possession. Offensively, they were a nightmare to defend, launching 26 total shots and scoring five second-half goals. They crashed the box relentlessly to secure valuable second-chance opportunities.
Viking FK enters this match reeling. In their opening fixture, they surrendered three first-half goals. Most alarmingly, the Norwegian club failed to establish any control, recording an official 0% average ball possession metric. Asking Viking to survive an onslaught from a Munich squad that averages 26 shots a game is a tall order. With Bayern pushing the pace, I expect them to cover this total on their own.
Villarreal CF vs SSC Napoli Prediction
The Pick: Villarreal Moneyline (46¢)
For those looking for strong value, backing the home side provides an intriguing statistical angle. SSC Napoli has struggled to generate any meaningful attack early in this campaign. The Italian side failed to score in their opener and managed a meager six total shots, with only three hitting the target.
Villarreal CF’s defense is certainly vulnerable, but their offensive upside makes them an appealing play. Villarreal doubled Napoli’s offensive production in their first match, firing off 13 total shots and scoring twice. With a more threatening attack and excellent ball rotation, I am taking the Villarreal moneyline to round out my betting card. They know how to box out defenders in the penalty area and finish at the rim—figuratively speaking.
