Despite not involving a top-six side, Crystal Palace and Burnley will be one of the more interesting and tightly contested matches of the Premier League weekend. Selhurst Park will play host to the matchup, which has been one sided over the past few years. In their past five tries, Burnley has only managed to win one game, while Crystal Palace snuck away with four victories over the squad from Turf Moor.

However, do not expect this to be an easy victory for Roy Hodgson’s Eagles. This will be Crystal Palace’s third match since the restart, and despite a win against Bournemouth, they were absolutely ran off the park by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool on Wednesday afternoon. Palace also might be without star attackers Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke, which will make this test from Burnley ever more challenging.

Is Jordan Ayew up to the Challenge?

Without Zaha on the wing, Roy Hodgson must come up with a new game plan for the Clarets on Monday. This plan will most likely be centralized on Jordan Ayew. The pacy Ghanaian striker has nine goals in 30 caps for Crystal Palace this season and will be a threat to a Burnley defense who just gave up five goals to Manchester City.

Burnley Can Build on Watford Victory

Aside from Ayew, Crystal Palace will be without much, if any, offensive firepower. Burnley, on the other hand, have goal scoring threats from quite a few areas on the pitch. Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes, and Jay Rodriguez have combined for 23 goals this season, and will look to battle with Mamadou Sakho and Gary Cahill.

Coming fresh out of victory against Watford, Sean Dyche will want his team to finish the season strongly and push for a top half finish, possibly above even Arsenal. Burnley have the team to do it. Regardless, it might come down to if Zaha and Benteke can make the trip to Croydon on Monday. Their presence could favor a Palace victory if it comes down to the wire, especially coming on as substitutes.

Best Bet

The best bet for this match is the moneyline of the underdog, Burnley with odds of +210. English champions or not, Crystal Palace was spineless on Wednesday. They did not record a touch in Liverpool’s box and looked like they had no desire to be there. Sean Dyche will not allow that from his Clarets, which is why they will win and go into the top half of the Premier League. With injuries on top of all of that, Burnley has every reason to go after this game and chase victory as the Premier League season comes to a close.

Pick: Burnley moneyline (+210)
