Over/Under and Spread

The -122 odds for the over should hold value here because Hamburger has hit it in three of their last four games. Freiburg meanwhile, also cashed in on the over in three consecutive appearances.

Hamburger vs Freiburg Prediction

2. Bundesliga outfit Hamburger welcomes Freiburg to the Volsparkstadion on Tuesday, with a spot in the final on the line. The hosts are coming off an inspiring 3-0 victory over Karlsruher at the weekend, with Robert Glatzel, Mario Vuskovic, and Josha Vagnoman all finding the back of the net. Hamburger finds themselves in the semifinals of this competition after also beating Karlsruher in penalties in the quarterfinals.

Freiburg looks to be European bound, currently sitting in fifth place in the Bundesliga table. Two wins in a row in league play is certainly a positive sign ahead of Tuesday as well, taking down Bochum on Saturday and Frankfurt prior to that. Coincidentally enough, Bochum was the same side they knocked out in the quarters courtesy of a 120th-minute extra-time winner from substitute Roland Sallai.

Three of the previous four meetings between these two sides ended level, but of course, that can’t be the case in a cup game. While Hamburger did win the most recent encounter in 2018 by one goal, I have to take Freiburg. They’re in far too good of form this term.

Pick: Freiburg +108

RB Leipzig vs Union Berlin Odds

Matchup Moneyline
RB Leipzig -215
Union Berlin +600
Draw +310

Odds as of April 18th at Barstool.

Leipzig is a heavy -215 favorite to come out victorious in this fixture with an implied win probability of 68.25%.

Over/Under and Spread

The over at -118 should hold terrific value here, with the last two meetings between the two teams ending in 2-1 scorelines.

RB Leipzig vs Union Berlin Prediction

Two in-form sides battle it out in the semis on Wednesday as Leipzig welcome Union Berlin to the Red Bull Arena. The hosts are flying high at the moment, notching three straight wins. In the process, they’ve scored six goals and conceded none. Domenico Tedesco’s men booked their ticket to the last four of the Europa last week by beating Atalanta then followed it up with another three points in Germany thanks to a second-half goal from Dominik Szoboszlai against Leverkusen. It was easy pickings for Leipzig in the quarterfinals of the German Cup as well, running out as 4-0 winners vs Hannover.

Union is also in terrific shape currently, moving up to sixth place in the Bundesliga after a dominant 2-0 victory over Frankfurt on Sunday. That marked a third successive win for Berlin in league action. Urs Fischer’s group did their damage early, with Taiwo Awoniyi and Grischa Promel both netting within the first 20 minutes of the fixture. Union managed to defeat St. Pauli in the last round in early March and now have the chance to progress to their first DFB-Pokal final since the 2000-2001 campaign where they lost to Schalke.

Berlin has actually gotten the better of Leipzig in recent encounters, winning two consecutive games. However, I really don’t see the hosts losing here. They’re firing on both ends of the pitch right now and Christopher Nkunku continues to be in the form of his life. Expect him to play a key part while keeper Peter Kulacsi will keep another clean sheet.

Pick: Leipzig to Win Nil (+138), Christopher Nkuku to Score (+118)
