England stages its most historic soccer occasion in 55 years when it meets Italy in the final of Euro 2020 on Sunday.

The Italians defeated Spain on penalties in its semifinal tie. Meanwhile, England overcame Denmark 2-1 after extra-time.

The same Wembley Stadium venue in London hosted England’s only previous tournament final when it won the 1966 World Cup by beating West Germany 4-2.

Italy has won four World Cups and was European champion in 1968 – losing further finals against France in 2000 and Spain in 2012.

Odds as of July 9 at DraftKings

Harry Maguire to Score a Header (+1100)

England leads the way in scoring headed goals at the tournament with a total of five so far. They also, significantly, scored the most headers at the 2018 World Cup with the same total.

Manchester United center-back Harry Maguire has already netted in this way from Luke Shaw’s free-kick in the 4-0 last eight defeat of Ukraine. He is certainly adept at getting forward and beating opposition defenders in the air. So this looks like a good value price at +1100.

Lorenzo Insigne to Score from Outside Penalty Box (+1300)

Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne scored one of the best goals of the tournament with a long-range screamer for Italy’s second goal in the 2-0 quarterfinal defeat of Belgium.

Meanwhile, he was also on target in the 3-0 defeat of Turkey in the group stage – continuing the prolific form which saw him score 19 times in Serie A last season.

England is, however, strong defensively. But Italy’s quick, sweeping attacks could offer Inzigne the chance to hit another long-range strike on the break.

Italy to Win at Least Five Corners (+112)

Italy has averaged 4.67 corners per game at the tournament. But with England’s defense so adept at denying forwards a path through the middle towards the goal there is a likelihood that more balls will be cleared via the bye-line.

England is certainly confident when soaking up pressure which may invite Italy forward at times. So these odds of +112 for Roberto Mancini’s men to win at least five corners (Over 4.5) look attractive.

Luke Shaw to Provide an Assist (+600)

Marauding full-back Luke Shaw has been one of the surprise stand-out performers at the competition. With a total of three assists, he is the joint-second leading provider of goals for his teammates.

The Manchester United defender supplied a superb cross for Raheem Sterling to score against Germany.

He then followed up by delivering for both Harry Kane and Harry Maguire to head home against Ukraine. It makes him a key component of England’s armory and these odds for another delivery look attractive.

Raheem Sterling to Score First (+750)

Finally, here’s a very inviting proposition for England’s outstanding performer Raheem Sterling to score first.

The Manchester City forward has scored three times at the tournament. Significantly, two of those goals secured the 1-0 group stage wins against Croatia and the Czech Republic.

He also opened the scoring in the last 16 win against Germany. Another goal may not come early against Italy. It will certainly be a tight game. But +750 is an attractive price for this prop.
