France vs Brazil Odds

Matchup Moneyline
France +160
Brazil +170
Draw +210

There’s really no clear favorite here. France sits at +160 Women’s World Cup odds, while Brazil returns at +170.  A draw is priced at +210. There is a reason to be confident for Les Bleues though, winning four meetings in a row against the South American powerhouse. That includes a thrilling victory in the Round of 16 in the 2019 edition of the World Cup.

France vs Brazil Preview

France is typically a regular in the knockout stages of the WWC, but if Herve Renard’s group can’t find a draw at the absolutely minimum Saturday, they could be going home early. The French were in the quarterfinals four years ago, pushing the USWNT to the absolute brink in a crushing 2-1 defeat. In fact, this side has been in the knockouts in three straight tournaments.

Renard’s squad had a whopping 73% of the ball against the Jamaicans last Sunday but failed to produce the goods in front of goal, despite a plethora of opportunities. That’s now back-to-back games where France hasn’t hit the back of the net, settling for a 1-0 loss to Australia prior to the World Cup.

Brazil, who is one of the stronger teams in the competition, has made the knockout rounds in three World Cups in a row, reaching the quarterfinals in 2011 before advancing to the Round of 16 in 2015 and 2019. Although legend Marta isn’t the player she once was, the Brazilians are still a very talented group.

Sure, Panama may not be the most daunting opponent. Nevertheless, The Female Canaries showed up and made a statement. Borges, who plays her club football for the NWSL’s Racing Louisville, stole the spotlight with an emphatic hat-trick in her very first World Cup match.

Brazil had 73% possession in this affair and registered a mind-boggling 32 shots, with 10 finding the target. Pia Sundhage’s side will be feeling very good about themselves after such a fantastic result, but the work is far from over. Getting past France will not be easy by any means.

France vs Brazil Prediction

In six matches between these two dating back to 2003, France is unbeaten with four wins and two draws. Brazil is looking for their first win against Les Bleues. When it comes to over/under, three of the previous four meetings comfortably hit over 2.5, which means that’s a worthy bet here again at +125 odds.

As for the winner, I’m confident Selecao are going to finally end their cold skid against the French. Their performance on Matchday 1 was too convincing to look past while Les Bleues didn’t show much. Hammer the moneyline in the France vs Brazil odds.

France vs Brazil Picks: Brazil moneyline (+170), Over 2.5 Goals (+125)
