Matchday 30 brings an intriguing clash for an in-form Juventus side who will host their city counterparts in Torino on Saturday, July 4th, kick-off 11:15 AM EST. The Old Lady continue to remain comfortably in the hunt for another Serie A title, currently sitting four points ahead of Lazio in first place.

Torino on the other hand is in the 13th spot and has struggled to put up results since league action has resumed. They did put up a solid fight against Lazio on Tuesday losing by just one goal, but they only have four points to show for through four matches thus far.

In the lone meeting between these two Turin-based teams back in November, Juve secured three points on the road with a 1-0 victory.

Juve Hungry for Ninth Consecutive Title

Maurizio Sarri’s men haven’t come up against any sides in the top half of the table in their first three matches since action resumed, but regardless, they’ve taken care of business in fine fashion. Juve has bagged nine goals across three appearances while conceding just one.

Torino shouldn’t be an issue for the current title-holders, however, as it will be crucial they secure a convincing victory needing positive momentum heading into their next two matches after Saturday’s clash.

AC Milan and Atalanta are ahead on the schedule, then not long after that, Juventus will face Lazio is an extremely decisive fixture in regards to the title.

All three of these teams pose a real threat to the Old Lady and have more than enough quality to spoil Juve’s quest for the Scudetto, so they must continue to play at a high level from front to back.

Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo have been deadly in the final third, each scoring three goals since the return. Sarri will also be hungry for his first title as Juventus manager, but the road ahead still remains difficult with a small cushion separating his side and Lazio, who have enjoyed a tremendous season.

Torino Looking for Positive Derby Results

Moreno Longo’s side currently sits six points above of the relegation zone in 13th, but a string of negative results have them searching desperately for a point at the very least this weekend.

A couple wins for the relegation sides and the opposite for Torino could put them towards the bottom if they continue to lose matches. They’ve been in Italy’s top-flight since the 2011-12 season, so Longo’s squad will be motivated to stay up.

After Saturday’s meeting with Juve, Torino will have a clear opportunity to secure three points against a weak Brescia side. Just days after though, they’ll head on the road to face Inter. Thankfully, they won’t face any top teams after the meeting in Milan, so positive results are very possible as Torino looks to steer clear of the last relegation spot.

In this same fixture last season at Juventus, they were able to pull out a point in a 1-1 draw. A similar result will definitely be the goal this Saturday.

It’s no secret that Juve has been in exhilarating form. Dating back to before the pandemic even, they’re unbeaten in their last seven Serie A appearances. Taking this into consideration, it’s a safe bet to put your money on Juve in this derby. They will keep Torino scoreless, while bagging two goals, with Ronaldo and Dybala both finding the back of the net.
