All odds taken Feb. 28

Pick 1: Maritimo vs. Braga

Ruben Amorim’s Braga (12-4-6) are flying, of that there is little doubt.

But facing a Maritimo (5-9-8) side that’s been stout at home their last few outings — and with Braga fresh off a humbling mid-week exit from the Europa League at the hands of Rangers — expect Sunday’s clash to be a tight affair.

Despite their 14th-place rep, Jose Gomes’ squad have played both Porto (1-1) and Sporting (1-1) tight at home this season and should be expected to keep things close against Braga.

Pick: U 2.5 (-111)

Pick 2: Vit. Guimaraes vs. Tondela

Tondela (6-6-10) continue to be one of the most mystifying clubs in Portugal. Capable of competing on a nightly basis with the league’s big boys — but also of regularly dropping points against bottom-half teams — they are a difficult team to predict in any week.

A couple resounding home wins have kept Guimaraes (8-7-7) afloat in the European race, if barely. Ivo Vieira’s team has battled gamely this season, but an ugly racist incident last time out in a 2-1 defeat against Porto has left a bad taste around the club.

Guimaraes have dropped their last three outings by identical 2-1 score lines at home, but it’s worth noting those came against Porto (twice) and fifth-place Rio Ave. Still: Bank on Tondela to keep things close.

Pick: Tondela +1.5 (-112)

Pick 3: Famalicao vs. Sporting

Neither Famalicao (9-6-7) nor Sporting (12-3-7) are in particularly good form entering their Matchday 23 meeting.

The hosts are in full-on collapse, winless in eight across all competitions and fresh off dropping points against the two teams currently on track to be relegated in Paços (1-2) and Aves (1-1).

While Sporting have stabilized somewhat in the wake of Bruno Fernandes’ departure, a disappointing aggregate loss in Turkey mid-week sent Silas’ squad tumbling out of Europe and there remains a massive gap between the Leoes and Porto/Benfica.

This matchup will dictate whether Famalicao has any chance of hanging onto its fading European dream — and whether Sporting is ready to pull away from the pack for an expected Top-4 finish.

Pick: Sporting (+141)
