While Paolo Banchero commands Detroit’s defensive attention, Desmond Bane is has been launching daggers from beyond the arc. He averaged 2.0 made threes per game overall during the regular season, but his production spikes at home, to 2.3 triples across 40 games at the Kia Center.

In this First Round series, Bane has turned into a flamethrower. Through five games, he has drained 19 three-pointers—a ridiculous average of 3.8 makes per night.

Detroit prioritizes rim protection, routinely leaving Bane with clean looks from the wing. Even with the hefty juice, the volume makes this a mandatory play.

Bane has hit at least three triples in each of his last three games in this series, and should be the recipient of plenty of kick outs created by Banchero inside, to make it four straight.

DET Pistons vs ORL Magic Prop Pick #2: Jalen Duren Points

Pick 1: Duren Under 13.5 Points (-105 at bet365)

Detroit’s offense runs entirely through Cade Cunningham, which isn’t a bad thing, though it does sometimes keep the supporting cast from getting some quality looks. Jalen Duren is the biggest victim of this tactical shift. During the regular season — the first time he was named an All-Star — he was a reliable interior scorer, averaging 18.3 points across 35 away matchups.

Playoff basketball is a different beast entirely. Facing elite interior pressure, Duren’s offensive production has cratered. He has managed just 51 total points (10.2 ppg) in this series.

Because Orlando clogs the paint, Duren simply is not getting the easy lob attempts he feasted on previously. Fading his inflated regular-season reputation offers exceptional betting value.

Duren is 0-5 versus a points line of 13.5 in this series failing to hit even the 13-point plateau in a single game. He’ll have to find other ways to contribute because his offensive game has deserted him in Round 1.
