The Utah Mammoth visit the Seattle Kraken tonight at Climate Pledge Arena, with both squads getting off to solid starts to begin the campaign.

Utah’s top line has carried much of the scoring, and its power play has been a major weapon. Seattle will lean on Jared McCann, Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle up front.

The market has already moved since opening. Here are my Mammoth vs Kraken picks and predictions, with odds and props below.

Mammoth vs Kraken Picks and Predictions

  • Pick: Mammoth to Win (Yes at 61¢ on Kalshi)

Kalshi
Utah
61%

My Mammoth vs Kraken prediction is on Utah. The Mammoth have won four of five and are 5-2 in their last seven road games after a win.

Seattle is 4-1-1 in their last six affairs but are 1-6 over its last seven games against teams with a winning record. They’ve also dropped four straight to the Mammoth. The 61¢ Kalshi Yes contract implies a 61% chance before fees and returns $1 if Utah wins. Utah’s 56.6% Corsi share against Seattle’s 41.8% is why I’m willing to lay it.

Mammoth vs Kraken Odds

Utah61¢
Seattle40¢

The Mammoth vs Kraken odds at Kalshi favor Utah at 61¢, with Seattle priced at 40¢. A winning Yes contract settles at $1; Utah would return 39¢ gross profit before fees.

Bettors are on the same page. Utah has 81.2% of the moneyline handle and 81.2% of tickets, while 93.2% of the total handle is on the over in NHL public betting splits.

Mammoth vs Kraken Player Props

I’ve got one from each side for my Mammoth vs Kraken player props.

  • Nick Schmaltz Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-105 at DraftKings)

Schmaltz has cleared 2.5 shots in eleven of his last twelve road games, averaging 3.67 per game. He’s projected to center Utah’s top line, and Seattle allows 31.0 shots per game.

  • Jared McCann Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-200 at bet365)

Wrapping up my Mammoth vs Kraken props, Jared McCann has topped 1.5 shots in twelve of his last 14 games, averaging 2.71. Seattle has struggled to control play, but McCann keeps getting pucks to the net.

Utah outshoots opponents 30.1 to 22.4 per game, while Seattle spends too much time chasing the puck. Utah’s 36.1% power play also faces a Kraken penalty kill working at 72.4%.

Both teams sit below .900 in team save percentage, which helps explain the heavy money on the over.

Karel Vejmelka and Philipp Grubauer are the projected starters, though neither are confirmed. Grubauer has the better save percentage, while Vejmelka has five wins with an .879 mark thanks to strong goal support.

Mammoth vs Kraken Lineups and Injuries

Based on depth charts, Schmaltz centers Clayton Keller and Lawson Crouse on Utah’s projected top line, with Vincent Trocheck and Anders Lee on the third line. McCann, Beniers and Eberle make up Seattle’s projected top unit.

Utah’s John Marino (upper body) is day-to-day, and his absence would shuffle the second pair. Michael Carcone (upper body) went on IR Oct. 20, and Maveric Lamoureux (shoulder) is out long-term after surgery.

Seattle’s Ryan Lindgren (upper body) is expected to miss four to six weeks. Jacob Melanson (chest) is out indefinitely, and Jake O’Brien (lower body) is on non-roster IR.
