In total, six of the top-10 players in the world are in the draw, with the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and even Novak Djokovic, who earned a wild-card berth. By no surprise, Alcaraz is the co-tournament favorite at +250 alongside Djokovic. Medvedev is the third-favorite at +525 as he aims to turn around a subpar season, while Tsitsipas is fourth at +700. Nole looked fantastic in Tel Aviv, rolling to the finals without dropping a set. He’ll square off with Marin Cilic in the finale at 11:30 am ET today.

Pick to win: Novak Djokovic +250

Maxime Cressy vs Karen Khachanov Prediction

This will be the first-ever meeting between No. 34 Maxime Cressy and No. 18 Karen Khachanov. Cressy has a 23-21 record in 2022 and ultimately retired in the first round of the US Open against Hungarian Marton Fucsovics due to injury. He did earn an impressive straight-sets victory over Sebastian Korda in Tel Aviv on September 28th but lost in the quarterfinals to Constant Lestienne on Thursday.

Khachanov is coming off a very impressive run in Flushing Meadows, progressing all the way to the semifinals only to lose to Casper Ruud, who ended up falling in the final to Alcaraz. Khachanov beat some impressive players along the way though, including Pablo Carreno-Busta and fan favorite Nick Kyrgios in the quarterfinals in what was an absolute battle. The Russian’s big serve and relentless return play definitely were a factor in his fantastic showing in New York. This is his first tournament since the US Open.

Khachanov has the momentum and confidence right now. I’m liking him to win in straight sets here.

Pick: Karen Khachanov 2-0 (+155)

Cristian Garin vs Novak Djokovic Prediction

Cristian Garin and Novak Djokovic face off at the Astana Open. Both meetings have gone the way of the Serb, with their most recent clash coming at Wimbledon in 2021 in the Round of 16. Garin hasn’t played since the US Open, where he beat Jiri Lehecka in four sets in the opening round and then lost to Aussie Alex de Minaur in the second round.

Nole was of course axed from playing in New York because of his vaccination status, but that hasn’t stopped him from still playing top-tier tennis. He’s in the Tel Aviv final on Sunday against Croatian Marin Cilic as the legend searches for his 89th career title. Djokovic will have a quick turnaround for this Garin match but that shouldn’t be a big deal.

Both previous meetings were straight-set victories for Djokovic. But, Garin didn’t get totally swept off his feet. I’m liking a specific games bet.

Pick: Over 18.5 Games (-106)
