March 12th may  go down in sports history as “Black Thursday”. The coronavirus pandemic has led to the suspension or cancelation of almost every major sports league.

The NBA, NHL, and MLB have all gone dark, leaving action junkies scrambling to find something, anything, to bet on.

While it is not, under any circumstances, financially wise to wager on sports you aren’t familiar with, the table below details which sports are still being played and can be wagered on at online sportsbooks. Note that the list below is limited to sports and sport-like activities. It does not include new betting markets like the weather, lottery, and financial markets.

SBD’s futures trackers will continue to be updated during this hiatus as well. Leagues have not “canceled” their seasons, per se, merely suspended them. Everyone is holding out hope that champions will be crowned in 2020.

  • June 1: Aussie Rules Football is back in action as of June 11th. Game lines are open for betting.
  • May 15: Australia’s National Rugby League doesn’t resume until May 28, but the first set of matches are on the board.
  • May 12: the German Bundesliga is slated to start in less than a week and the full slate of return games are available for wagering.
  • May 9: the UFC successfully held UFC 249 this evening and has two more events planned in the next seven days, all in Jacksonville, FL.
  • April 28: Bad news for French soccer fans; Ligue 1 will not return this season.
  • April 24: “The Match” golf tournament between Tiger Woods/Peyton Manning vs Phil Mickelson/Tom Brady is a go for May 24.
  • April 22: The South Korean KBO (baseball) is back in action.
  • April 20: Basketball is back in Taiwan and the “International Tennis Series” is holding events without fans in Florida.
  • April 14: The Taiwan CPBL has resumed play (without fans) becoming the professional baseball league to return anywhere in the world.
  • April 13: We’ve got darts! The Czech Premier League is back, as are Icons of Darts exhibition matches, which see players competing from home.
  • April 9: UFC 249 (April 18) has officially been canceled.
  • April 7: the Open Championship (a.k.a. golf’s British Open) has been canceled. It was scheduled to take place on July 16. The other three majors have all been rescheduled to later in the calendar.
  • April 6: the Canadian GP, the next F1 event that had not been canceled/suspended, was officially canceled. It had been scheduled for June 14.
  • April 2: Few soccer leagues are soldiering on. Belarus, Burundi, Nicaragua and Tajikistan have matches this weekend, though.
  • April 2: The Chinese Taipei Super Basketball League is up and running.
  • March 28: There is no more snooker or handball left on the board.
  • March 27: The Indy 500 has been postponed until  Aug. 23.
  • March 23: Mexico’s Liga MX has been suspended.
  • March 22: Aussie Rules Football and the National Rugby League have been suspended.
  • March 17: the KHL has postponed its playoffs until at least April 10.
  • March 16: the UFC has postponed all events until at least UFC 249: Khabib vs Ferguson on April 18, 2020.
  • March 16: New Zealand’s Super Rugby league has been suspended.
  • March 16: Darts is now off the board; Premier League Darts has postponed its March events until October 2020.
  • March 16: All Six Nations Championship rugby matches have been postponed indefinitely.
  • March 13: the EPL and Ligue 1 have suspended matches until at least April 4.
  • March 13: Remaining Europa League and Champions League soccer matches have been officially postponed.
  • March 12 (10:03 PM ET): The PGA Tour’s PLAYERS Championship has been called off after round one.
  • March 12 (6:20 PM ET): the XFL had planned to play Week 6 games without fans, but reports now indicate games will be canceled.
  • March 12 (3:47 PM ET): the International Tennis Federation announced a hiatus until at least April 20th, crossing another betting-option off the list
