• [May 21] McDavid captured his third Art Ross with 105 points in 56 games. He opened as a +275 favorite and had been the odds-on choice since February.
• [March 17] As Florida kept rolling, Aleksander Barkov’s odds shortened from +6300 to +3900.
• [February 24] Patrick Kane carried Chicago through a rocky stretch, posting eight points in three games to shorten from +1900 to +1175.
• [February 8] Washington’s Nicklas Backstrom dropped from +8100 to +2000 behind six goals and 17 points in 12 games.
• [January 26] With 10 points in seven games, Toronto’s Mitch Marner shrank from +1833 to +1050.
• [January 6] Nikita Kucherov fell out of the race, set to miss the season after hip surgery. Brayden Point jumped from +5000 to +1900 with Kucherov out.

This one ended in a boardroom. Leon Draisaitl led the NHL in scoring when COVID-19 shut the season down, and the Art Ross was his once commissioner Gary Bettman declared the regular season over in May.

Draisaitl had pulled clear of teammate Connor McDavid late, leading the scoring race by 11 points when play stopped. McDavid opened the year as the favorite, even coming off a broken leg, but Draisaitl closed as a -900 lock.

• [March 2] The race was all but over after McDavid’s injury, with Draisaitl leading the scoring race by 11 points and 15-18 games left for each team.
• [February 3] McDavid was still the favorite, but his odds lengthened to -140 as he trailed Draisaitl by two points for the scoring title.
• [January 3] McDavid was a prohibitively short -275 favorite, with teammate Leon Draisaitl (+275) his closest competitor.
