Where is Fanatics Sportsbook Legal? All Fanatics Sportsbook Legal States for Sports Betting and Online Casino
Verified by: Patrick Cwiklinski
Fanatics may have been a little later to enter online sports betting than its peers, but thanks to its takeover of existing licenses, the number of legal Fanatics Sportsbook states rivals the titans of the industry.
There are 22 states—plus Washington, D.C.—in which Fanatics Sportsbook operates, which is nearly two-thirds of all legal betting states in the US. Only FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars Sportsbook operate in more US states.
In four states—Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia—Fanatics Online Casino is also legal.
The graphic below captures the full scope of Fanatics Sportsbook legal states:

Fanatics Sportsbook Legal States
Fanatics Sportsbook is unique in that you can only access it through the mobile app, and not on a desktop. That mobile app can be used in 22 states where Fanatics Sportsbook is currently legal, as well as D.C.
Fanatics Sportsbook took over the sports betting licenses once held by PointsBet in most of those states, but it still had to endure a rigorous certification process in each state to make sure it met operating standards.
Because of that, you are backed by your state’s regulatory body while using the app and you can trust that your personal and banking information, as well as your money, are safe and secure at Fanatics.
North Carolina is the latest Fanatics legal state, going live in March of 2024. It’s one of the few states in which Fanatics was able to launch along with its competitors.
It’s going to have a chance to the same when Missouri sports betting apps launch sometime this fall, as I fully anticipate Fanatics Sportsbook Missouri to add to the tally of Fanatics betting states.
Fanatics Casino Legal States
Real money online casino apps are only available in seven states, but Fanatics Online Casino is legal in four of them.
The three other Legal US online casino states are Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island, who have very limited iGaming options. I would be shocked if Fanatics were to become legal in any of those.
If legislation concerning Illinois online casinos and/or Maryland online casinos crosses the finish line, it would make sense if they became Fanatics online casino states as both are Fanatics Sportsbook states.
