Ravens vs Chiefs Props: Will Demarcus Robinson be Patrick Mahomes’ Top Option?

The AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens and AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs are both off to outstanding starts . The Ravens are 2-0 and have outscored the opposition 82-27. The 2-0 Chiefs own a 68-36 point differential.
As they clash Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, it figures to be a high-scoring affair. The Ravens are the NFL’s top offense (541.5 yards per game) and best rushing offense (223.5 ypg).
The Chiefs are the NFL’s top passing offense (407 ypg) and ranked third in overall offense (479.0).
These are some of the best prop wagers being offered in the Chiefs-Ravens odds.
Who Scores First?
One prop asks which player will score the first touchdown of Sunday’s game, offering odds on players from both sides of the football.
The Ravens have scored the first TD in both of their wins. The Chiefs found the end zone first in their 40-26 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In Week 2, though, they fell behind 10-0 to the Oakland Raiders before rallying for a 28-10 triumph.

Mark Ingram scored on a run for Baltimore’s first TD of the Ravens’ 59-10 blasting of the Miami Dolphins. In their 23-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, it was a Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews TD pass that opened the scoring.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hooked up with Sammie Watkins on the first of three TD pass connections between the two to get things going against the Jaguars. In Week 2, it was Demarcus Robinson who was on the other end of a pair of Mahomes scoring aerials. Rookie Mecole Hardman snared one TD pass and saw a second wiped out by a holding call.

Baltimore’s secondary is beat up. Arizona rookie Kyler Murray torched the Ravens for 349 yards last week. Look for Mahomes to have a field day. Wth Tyreek Hill out for Kansas City, Watkins is the #1 wideout and will draw the most attention from the Baltimore defense.
That leaves Hardman or Robinson as prime scoring options. Take the experience and the solid price on Robinson.

It’s Outstanding Pat vs Action Jackson
Mahomes leads the NFL with 821 passing yards. He also owns a share of the league lead with seven TD passes. One of those tied with him is Jackson.

Jackson hasn’t compiled the yardage numbers of Mahomes through the air (596) but he’s a double threat. Jackson has run for 126 yards on 19 carries, an average of 6.6 yards per carry.

When it comes to pass, though, you’ve still got to give the edge to Mahomes. When these two teams met last December 18, the Chiefs edged the Ravens 27-24. Mahomes passed for 377 yards, compared to 147 for Jackson. But each QB was good for a pair of TD passes.
Factor in the home-field advantage. Take into account Baltimore’s depleted secondary – cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (knee) and Tavon Young (neck) are out.

You also must note that Jackson has made hay against the worst teams in the NFL from this year (Dolphins) and last year (Cardinals).
It’s hard to bet against Mahomes. In fact, it would be foolish to do so.

Here’s to You, Mr. Robinson
On the basis of two weeks of action, you’d probably give Ravens tight end Andrews the edge over Chiefs wideout Robinson in a head-to-head receiving yardage competition. Andrew has gone over 100 yards both games, averaging 110 yards.
Robinson accumulated 172 yards over two games, all last week against the Raiders.
