- Hodgson’s team have performed well in recent road trip derbies
- Aston Villa could punish weary Wolves in Midlands clash
- Burnley and West Ham both desperate to end recent struggles
Crystal Palace face a tough task away at in-form Chelsea on the English Premier League’s Matchday 12 but their away record this season should give them some hope.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea have won their last five EPL matches but have played none of the elite sides in that period.
Palace has lost tough recent dates against Leicester City and Manchester City but look a good prospect at an inviting +420 for a point in the London derby which is England’s early Saturday kick-off on November 9, at Stamford Bridge, London, 7:30 am EST.

EPL Pick 1: Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace claimed a battling 2-2 draw at Arsenal in their most recent road trip game. Prior to that, they won away at West Ham United. Clearly, they are relishing the challenges of taking on their rivals in the capital just now.
In fact, they have the ninth-best away record in the competition after two wins, one draw and two defeats outside of Selhurst Park. It means they are stubbornly clinging on to their surprise position in the top half of the table in ninth place.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson is renowned for his ability to set up teams defensively to defy bigger outfits.
Chelsea may be drained facing the early Saturday start after the exertions of their remarkable 4-4 draw at home against Ajax in the Champions League last Tuesday.

Their five straight EPL wins have created a mood of optimism around the club. But these victories came against Brighton, Southampton, Newcastle United, Burnley and bottom club Watford. Palace this season are more resilient than all those sides apart from Brighton.
Pick: Draw (+420)
EPL Pick 2: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Aston Villa
Aston Villa was extremely unfortunate to succumb to runaway league leaders Liverpool last weekend thanks to two late goals from Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The performance, however, was an example of the potential lurking within Dean Smith’s Villa team in their first season back in the EPL after a three-season absence.
They are well priced at +285 for a win away at local Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday at Molineux.

Last month Villa won 2-1 in an EFL Cup tie at home against Wolves.
The home team were in action in the Europa League at home against Slovan Bratislava on Thursday and could face weariness issues.
Wolves have drawn their three most recent EPL games against Southampton, Newcastle and Arsenal.
"I think we deserved this win because the boys worked hard and the support of the fans until the end – it was a good moment for everybody.

Another factor is that they have played eight times in the past 36 days – an average of a game every four-and-a-half days which may take a toll in the frantic circumstances of a derby this weekend.
Although they have won only once on the road, Villa thumped Norwich City 5-1 away on that occasion.
Wolves have been unconvincing on their own patch and have the 17th worst record at home in the EPL with only one win, three draws and one defeat.

Derby games like this are often tight and tense but the wide price makes a Villa win look interesting.
Pick: Aston Villa Win (+285)
EPL Pick 3: Burnley vs West Ham Utd
West Ham United’s early-season promise has disappeared during a dismal run of five EPL games without a win.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to stop the rot. They will face a daunting job away at Burnley on Saturday which makes the draw a good-looking idea at +245.
Sean Dyche’s Burnley side are desperate for a win after three straight EPL defeats.
The eagerness of both sides to improve their form should make this a hard-fought contest which makes an all-square outcome most likely.
West Ham rose as high as fifth earlier in the campaign.
🗣 Barnes on his new deal: “I want to see out my playing days here.
“At this moment in time I don’t see anything else for me and I just want to continue playing at the highest level possible, and hopefully that is with Burnley.”#twitterclarets #UTC pic.twitter.com/NFREUwDjbi

They have taken just two points in the five matches since the high-point of a home 2-0 victory against Manchester United on September 22.
The 3-2 home defeat by Newcastle United last weekend was particularly depressing. It has placed pressure upon Pellegrini for the first time since he took charge at the club last season.
However, they have drawn three of their five away fixtures this season – winning and losing once.
Burnley have won three times at home but lost twice.
They were beaten 4-2 at home by Chelsea last time out at Turf Moor in a run which has also included away defeats against Sheffield United and Leicester City.
Pick: Draw (+245)
