Odds as of June 30th from DraftKings
Jeremy Chardy vs Ilya Ivashka Prediction
Chardy and Ivashka have never played against each other in the careers.
On paper, leading up to Wimbledon Ivashka has had a much better season than Chardy. Chardy has had a tough time advancing past first or second rounds the past few months, whereas the Belarusian has had some success, including a quarterfinal appearance at the Eastbourne International just about a week ago.
What makes this matchup interesting is their first round wins. Chardy is coming off arguably one of his best performances of his season, when he defeated 20th seed Aslan Karatsev in straight sets. In his Wimbledon debut, Ivashka also had an impressive first round win, when he beat Jaume Munar in straight sets as well.

It doesn’t seem like this match is going to be over in three sets, but I’m going to give the edge to Chardy, as he’s sure to enter this second round match with his confidence at a high.
Best Bet: Chardy (+105)
Pedro Martinez vs Gael Monfils Prediction
This matchup became interesting when it took Monfils a full five sets to move on to the second round. In his first round match against Christopher O’Connnell, Monfils wasn’t able to ever take full control of the match, and it ended up needing the distance. The World No. 17 didn’t have the best day on his serve, with 10 double faults
Martinez also needed more than three sets to secure his win against Stefanos Travaglia. Martinez just managed to outplay his opponent from start to finish. Despite Travaglia’s 13 aces to Martinez’s three, the Spaniard was still able to dictate most of the match, which led to his win.
Based on both of their previous matches here in London, this will most likely go beyond three sets, possibly even the full five.
Best Bet: Over 4.5 (+255)
Taylor Fritz vs Steve Johnson Prediction
It’s an all-American clash in this second round matchup, as 31st seed Fritz takes on Johnson. These two have faced each other before, with Johnson holding a 2-1 head-to-head record edge. The last meeting between the two came back in 2019, where Johnson won in straight sets.
The fact that Fritz is playing right now is pretty remarkable in itself. It was just about a month ago at the French Open, that the young American had to be taken off the court, and had surgery on his right knee.
Taylor Fritz, who had a knee surgery three weeks ago, beats Brandon Nakashima in four sets to reach the 2nd round. Well done to everybody involved.#Wimbledon

He had a slight hiccup in his first round match against another fellow American, Brandon Nakashima, when he dropped the second set, but he was able to regain his form, and took the next two to win the match.
Johnson on the other hand defeated his opponent Dennis Novak in straight sets. After a long battle of a first set, the American was able to take control, and earn his second round spot.
Serving is going to be a big factor in this match, as both player have strong serves, and usually hit double digits with aces. I do think Fritz has the ability to take the match, but this very well might go the distance.
Best Bet: Over 4.5 sets (+235)
