The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will try to take another step toward defending their Super Bowl title when they host the Philadelphia Eagles at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday in an NFC wild card playoff game at Raymond James Stadium.

Tom Brady will not have many of his star receivers, as Chris Godwin was lost for the season and Antonio Brown is no longer with the team. Philadelphia should have their full list of stars available, though.

Tampa Bay is an 8.5-point favorite and the over/under is 45.5 points. You can see more Eagles vs Buccaneers odds in our preview. We’re going to focus on the player props for the game below, including the passing, rushing, and receiving props, as well as touchdown odds.

Odds as of January 15th at FanDuel.

Tom Brady’s passing yards over/under dwarfs Jalen Hurts’ in this game. Brady’s is set at 268.5 while Hurts’ is just 193.5. Hurts does have the largest rushing yards over/under in the game, though, with his line set at 50.5.

Leonard Fournette has been ruled out, so Ke’Shawn Vaughn expects to get the call in Tampa Bay’s backfield. Vaughn’s rushing total is set at 47.5.

Gronkowski Taking Advantage of Opportunity

Future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski was a bit of a nonfactor for the Buccaneers in the first half of the season as he missed five of six games in one stretch because of a rib injury.

However, Gronkowski is clearly ready to make a big impact in the playoffs. The 32-year-old tight end had back-to-back 100-yard receiving games to end the regular season, catching seven passes in each game for a total of 252 yards.

No tight end in NFL history has been more productiven in the postseason than Gronkowski. He has 89 receptions for 1,273 yards and 14 touchdowns in 20 career playoff games.

Further helping Gronkowski is his longtime teammate Tom Brady had one of the best regular seasons of any quarterback in NFL history. Brady led the league with an NFL-record 485 completions, 719 attempts, a career-best 5,136 passing yards and a franchise-record 43 touchdown passes.

Gronkowski is usually Brady’s first option during playoff time. In last year’s Super Bowl, Gronkowski caught two touchdown passes.

The Eagles pass defense is formidable as it ranked 11th in the NFL in the regular season. However, Gronkowski is unstoppable in January.

  • The Pick: Rob Gronkowski over 58.5 receiving yards (-110)

Sanders Overdue for a Touchdown

The course of the Eagles’ season changed midway through their 28-22 regular-season loss to the Buccaneers on Oct. 14. At halftime, first-year coach Nick Sirianni decided Philadelphia needed to become a run-first team to best take advantage of quarterback Jalen Hurts’ skill set.

The Eagles then went 7-4 in their last 11 games and Hurts led them in rushing with 784 yards. Right behind Hurts was running back Miles Sanders with 754 yards despite missing four games with injuries.

Sanders returns to the lineup Sunday after sitting out the final two games of the regular season with a broken hand. He figures to be part of the Eagles’ strategy to eat as much clock as possible to keep the ball out of Brady’s hands.

Amazingly, Sanders did not score a touchdown in the regular season despite averaging 5.5 yards a carry, which was third in the league, and getting 163 touches (137 rushing attempts, 26 receptions).

As the saying goes, the playoffs are a whole new season. That will be the case for Sanders, too, as he finally finds the end zone.

  • The Pick: Miles Sanders to score a TD (+160)
