MLS Week 9 continues this weekend with Toronto FC locking horns with a familiar foe in FC Cincinnati on Saturday at BMO Field. The kick-off is scheduled for 3 PM ET. Keep reading for the FC Cincinnati vs Toronto FC odds.
The Reds suffered a heartbreaking 5-4 defeat last weekend to MLS Cup holders New York City FC, despite taking an early 2-0 lead. As for Cincy, they also lost to LAFC in a very feisty encounter.
The visitors have won two of their last three meetings with Toronto, but the Canadian outfit did come out victorious in their most recent fixture vs. Cincinnati, winning 3-2.

Toronto is favored at -121 here and is unbeaten on home soil thus far, compiling an impressive 3-1-0 record. They have an implied win probability of 51% as opposed to just 26% for the Orange and Blue.

Over/Under and Spread
The over 2.5 goals at -195 odds could offer value. The last match between these two ended in a 3-2 scoreline and both sides conceded their fair share of goals on matchday 8.

Toronto FC vs FC Cincinnati Prediction
TFC’s loss at the hands of NYCFC was truly a heated battle and proved a lot about this club. After going two goals to the good, the MLS champions responded with four goals of their own by the 60th minute.

It looked like Toronto was done at that point, but they fought back and netted three more times, including a fine finish from Michael Bradley in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, it was too little too late, but the Reds should be proud of a very gritty performance. That said, Bob Bradley’s men have been improving after a poor start to the campaign.

They’ve lost just once in their previous five outings, including a win over NYCFC as well in early April. Frontman Jesus Jimenez is really coming into his own, already bagging six goals in eight appearances including a brace last weekend. Toronto’s MLS Cup odds are also sitting at +2000, too.

Cincinnati on the other hand is struggling. They’re in the gutter of the Eastern Conference and the moment and have managed to win just twice this season so far. The defeat to LAFC wasn’t an awful showing but Pat Noonan’s side once again struggled to capitalize in front of goal. The side took an early lead courtesy of Luciano Acosta, but the high-flying LA club fired back with two goals in the second half to secure the three points.

It’s clear that Cincinnati is lacking an attacking punch up top, netting a mere nine times in eight games. Frankly, they should’ve lost by a lot more vs. LAFC, but the visitors struggled to put away clear-cut chances. Even worse? the Orange and Blue have conceded six times with five or fewer minutes left in the first or second half. A lot of these results could’ve gone the other way and hopefully, Cincy’s form will turn a corner soon here.

Toronto FC vs FC Cincinnati Pick
TFC always turn up at BMO Field and after such a wild game last weekend, I believe they will respond with a crucial victory here. The hosts have won three straight games at home by 2-1 scorelines and you can expect a lot of the same on Saturday against an out-of-form Cincinnati squad.
