The Dallas Cowboys (4-1, 4-1 ATS) will be going with backup quarterback Cooper Rush against the Philadelphia Eagles (5-0, 3-2 ATS) in this key NFC East matchup in the NFL Week 6 SNF contest.
For the fifth game in a row, a fractured thumb is keeping Dallas QB1 Dak Prescott out of action. There was speculation that Prescott might be good to go for this game. His continuing absence is certainly impacting the NFL odds on this game. Rush is 4-0 straight up and against the spread while subbing for Prescott.
Philadelphia’s injury list is showing no one of significance is in any jeopardy heading into this game with huge implications at the top of the NFC East standings. Not one Eagles starter is displaying any sort of injury designation
Philadelphia is a 6.5-point home favorite for this game.
Dallas Cowboys Injury Report
Early in the week, there appeared to be some hope that Prescott’s absence from the Dallas lineup wasn’t going to be extended to five weeks. However, word came early Sunday that the Cowboys QB1 would again be inactive for this game.

The Dallas offense did get some good news on the injury front, however. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (hip) will be playing. He was designated as questionable with a hip injury in mid-week. Among Dallas receivers, Lamb is leading in receptions (28) and touchdown catches (two).
The Cowboys are showing no other starters with any injury status. Backup G-T Jason Peters (chest) has been limited in practice all week. He’s listing as questionable for the game.
Philadelphia Eagles Injury Report
In the Cowboys vs Eagles public betting splits, the Eagles are drawing 52% of handle and 68% of bets in moneyline wagering. That momentum is likely being driven by the fact that Philadelphia is entering this game with virtually no injury concerns whatsoever.
Eagles activated OT Andre Dillard from injured reserved, placed DE Janarius Robinson on injured reserve, and elevated S Andre Chachere from the practice squad for Sunday's game vs. Dallas.

Backup defensive end Janarius Robinson (ankle) was placed in injured reserve on Saturday. He’d been limited in practice all week. A signing off the practice roster of the Minnesota Vikings, Robinson was on the inactive list for all of Philadelphia’s five games so far this season. By placing him on IR, the Eagles are assuring that Robinson will be out a minimum of four weeks.
Third-string RCB Josh Jobe is set as questionable for this game. A shoulder injury was limiting his participation in practice all week long.
How Could Injuries Affect Cowboys vs Eagles Betting Lines?
In the Cowboys vs Eagles player props, Rush is a curious play. While the fifth-year QB has won all four of his starts, he’s thrown for just four TDs and has been sacked seven times.
The inclusion of Lamb in the Dallas lineup is vital if the Cowboys intend on enjoying any success in this game. Michael Gallup is still working his way back from an ACL injury and only shows eight targets, six receptions and one TD so far this season. Noah Brown is the only other Dallas WR with a TD catch.
The Eagles are thin at RDE. Behind starter Josh Sweat, both Robinson and Derek Barnett are residing on IR.
When Johnson was placed on IR, Andre Dillard was activated and placed on the 53-player roster. Dillard is the backup to starting LT Jordan Malaita. The 2019 first-round draft pick has started nine games in his NFL career. He’s been idled this season by a concussion and a nondisplaced fracture in his forearm.
The Eagles removed injury designations for Jordan Mailata (shoulder), Landon Dickerson (ankle), Jason Kelce (ankle), Kenny Gainwell (ribs), Jake Elliott (ankle), Avonte Maddox (ankle) & Isaac Seumalo (ankle).

More good news on the Eagles injury front is the return of kicker Jake Elliott after missing last week’s game with an ankle injury. Elliott was a full participant in practice this week.
Cameron Dicker handled the placement duties in last week’s 20-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Dicker converted both Philadelphia TDs and also kicked two field goals, with a long of 42 yards. He was returned to the practice squad earlier this week.
