Nobody would’ve expected the NFC East to be the best division in football after the first five weeks of the NFL season, but looking at the records in that division, you can certainly make that argument right now.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles (5-0) are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL and host the Cowboys (4-1) on Sunday Night Football in a battle for first place in the division. Kickoff from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia is set for 8:20 pm ET on Sunday, October 16th.

Player props are available for a Cowboys vs Eagles matchup that should be low scoring considering the Dallas D hasn’t given up more than 20 points in any game this year, and QB Dak Prescott is still in the NFL Week 6 injuries.

So which players do we expect to stand out in this one? Let’s check out the top player NFL Week 6 prop picks for the Cowboys vs Eagles before giving our best bet and predictions.

After leading his team to a perfect 5-0 start, Jalen Hurts has shot up the board when looking at the NFL MVP odds, but don’t expect him to put up big numbers through the air in this one. The Cowboys are one of nine teams who allow under 200 passing yards per game this year.

To add on, the weather forecast is calling for temperatures of 57 degrees, mostly cloudy with showers, and 5 MPH winds. If we get some rain during the contest, expect both teams to rely on the ground game even more than usual.

Pick #1: Tony Pollard Over 33.5 Rushing Yards

Cowboys fans are clamoring for Tony Pollard to get more touches, especially after he broke off a 57-yard touchdown run against the Super Bowl champs in Los Angeles last week. While Ezekiel Elliott is still expected to get the most carries, we should expect the team to increase Pollard’s load this week.

His total of 33.5 yards seems really low considering he’s had two separate carries of 46 and 57 yards in the last three weeks. He’s gone over 33.5 yards on the ground three times this season so far, and with the ground game expected to be prominent for the Cowboys in this one, expect him to easily pass that total against the Eagles.

Pick: Tony Pollard Over 33.5 Rushing Yards (-120), 1 unit

DAL vs PHI Scoring Props

Player Odds to Score 1st TD Odds to Score Anytime TD
Jalen Hurts (PHI) +600 +115
Miles Sanders (PHI) +650 +120
A.J. Brown (PHI) +700 +140
Ezekiel Elliott (DAL) +1100 +175
DeVonta Smith (PHI) +950 +190
Dallas Goedert (PHI) +1000 +205
CeeDee Lamb (DAL) +1300 +220
Tony Pollard (DAL) +1500 +250
Michael Gallup (DAL) +2000 +350
Dalton Schultz (DAL) +2000 +380
Kenneth Gainwell (+425) +2000 +320
Noah Brown (DAL) +2500 +425
Quez Watkins (PHI) +2200 +500

Jalen Hurts is coming off a game where he ran the ball in for two scores against the Cardinals last week so he has the best odds to score a TD in this game as well at +115. On the Cowboys side, oddsmakers have pegged Zeke as most likely to score a major at +175.

Pick #2: CeeDee Brown First Touchdown Scorer

Although, the expectation is this game will be played through the trenches with both coordinators calling a lot of run plays, CeeDee Brown has been a target vacuum for Cooper Rush and has scored touchdowns in two of the last three weeks.

He’s been targeted at least eight teams in each of the Cowboys games this year. Cowboys offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore also likes to mix it up on goal line plays, and CeeDee is a target inside the 10 or can break off a long play with lots of yards after the catch and find the end zone. At odds of +1300, he’s well worth the gamble.

If you’re looking for an anytime TD scorer, look to the chalk favorite from these two teams and go with Jalen Hurts. Not only will he get designed run plays call for him, but with the ferocious Dallas defense hounding him, he’ll definitely have a few chances to scramble for a major as well.

Keep in mind, he ran in two majors from the one-yard line last week against the Cards, so he’s one of the Eagles favorite options to sneak in from short yardage situations.

Picks:

  • CeeDee Lamb First TD (+1300), 1 unit
  • Jalen Hurts Anytime TD (+115), 1 unit
