Edmonton Oilers Betting Analysis

The Edmonton Oilers have been something of an enigma this season, following their trip to the Western Conference Finals last year. Connor McDavid is still being Connor by putting up virtuoso numbers (54 goals, 10 more than 2nd-place David Pastrnak). McDavid also has 124 points, 28 more than his closest pursuer (teammate Leon Draisaitl).

They’ve won three of four to keep their grip on the first Wild Card spot, and are just four points back of tops in the Pacific. Before then, however, Oil Country had dropped six of eight affairs.

For the campaign, they’re tops in goals per contest, but 21st in goals against, which could be a problem against the second-highest-scoring club, Boston.

Since they’re second in goals scored, first in goals allowed, and first on the penalty kill, it’s hard to find any holes for them. The only nitpicky one would be that their power play hasn’t been up to snuff since the start of last month, operating at a 13.5% clip, which is eighth worst in the league.
