The injury-riddled New Orleans Saints (2-4, 3-3 ATS) hope to stem a four-game losing streak tonight when they host the Denver Broncos (3-3, 4-2 ATS) at the Superdome on Thursday Night Football at 8:15 pm ET.
Denver, which is in much better shape on the injury front, heads into the Big Easy as 2.5-point favorites in the Broncos vs Saints odds (with the line as high as a field goal at some sportsbooks).
The NFL public betting splits for TNF show the public strongly favoring the Broncos to cover the small number. But the really significant numbers are on the total, where the public is loving the over on a miniscule total of 37.0.

The game-total splits are massively skewed to the over. With the O/U sitting at just 37.0, the lowest on the board in the Week 7 NFL odds by a full point (Jets/Steelers is 38.5 O/U), the public is hammering the over: 83% of handle is on the over along with 88% of the game-total tickets.
The Broncos are 3-3 O/U on the season while New Orleans is 4-2 and averaging 52.3 PPG, third highest after the Ravens (54.3) and Buccaneers (53.2).

One of the main reasons the Broncos are road favorites on Thursday, even with rookie QB Bo Nix leading an anemic offense, is all the significant injuries on the New Orleans side of the ball.
The biggest absence is likely to be starting QB Derek Carr, who missed last week with an oblique injury and is doubtful to play in on TNF. Rookie fifth-rounder Spencer Rattler started in Carr’s place against Tampa Bay last Sunday, going 22-of-40 for 243 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He was solid in the first half, leading the Saints back from a 17-0 hole to take a 27-24 lead at the break. But the New Orleans attack was shutout in the second half of an embarrassing 51-27 loss.
Also missing from the Saints lineup tonight will be receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, the WR1 and WR2 on the New Orleans depth chart. Olave (349 yards) and Shaheed (280 yards) are first and second on the team in receiving yards.
Crucially, Alvin Kamara, who was limited in practice all week, doesn’t carry an injury designation.
On the Denver side, starting right tackle Alex Palczewski is out with an ankle injury, while starting corner Patrick Surtain II is sidelined with a knee injury.
Three other Denver players are listed as questionable – Baron Browning, Damarri Mathis, and Mike McGlinchey – but all three got in a full practice on Wednesday and are likely to play.
