The rematch that everyone wanted is upon us, with a heated battle between hockey rivals Canada and the United States for Four Nations Face-Off supremacy.

The United States took their matchup with Canada in the Round Robin 3-1, with three fights breaking out in the first nine seconds, leading to a wild and spirited affair. Those two squads renew hostilities, with Canada defeating Finland 5-3 on Monday to make the final. Team USA won their first two games, before dropping their final contest as they rested players, having already sewn up a spot in the final.

Here is our expert Canada vs USA same-game parlay for Thursday’s game.

Canada vs USA Same-Game Parlay Pick #1: Connor McDavid Anytime Goal Scorer

Connor McDavid can stake claim to being the most talented player in the world and this tournament. He’s scored in back-to-back games, and wasted no time in doing so, registering the first goal of the game in contests against the United States and Finland.

McDavid has slightly longer odds than the top-two players on the board (Nathan MacKinnon, Auston Matthews), providing a little bit more value.

When Edmonton had their backs against the wall in the Stanley Cup Final, where they were down 3-0 to the Florida Panthers, he racked up three goals and five assists in games 4 and 5 to stave off elimination.

Considering he’s already opened the scoring in back-to-back games, I’m betting McDavid with confidence to begin this Same-Game Parlay.

Canada vs USA SGP Pick #2: Jake Guentzel 3+ Alternate Shots On Goal

The first two games of this tournament, American forward Jake Guentzel was shot out of a cannon, racking up three goals and one assist against Finland and Canada. In those two affairs, Guentzel, who has 27 goals in the NHL this season (good for eighth in the league) peppered nine shots on goal (five vs Canada, four vs the Finns).

The odds for him to register three or more shots in this championship final is set at +110. He was only able to muster one shot against Sweden, but that was a meaningless game that featured USA resting players.

Given how impactful Guentzel was the first two contests, I’d be inclined to think he can repeat that again, adding some juice to this SGP.

Canada vs USA SGP Pick #3: Sidney Crosby 1+ Alternate Points

“Captain Canada” Sidney Crosby has a well-documented history of coming up clutch in the biggest games. In the 2010 Olympic gold medal game against USA, he scored the golden goal in overtime to secure gold for Canada.

Then in the 2014 Sochi Olympics gold medal game, he closed the scoring as Canada was victorious yet again. The last time NHL players played in a best-on-best tournament, Sid the Kid was tournament MVP, recording the most points with ten.

Those incredible accomplishments don’t even include his three Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Suffice to say, he knows how to come up big in big games. This tournament, he put up three helpers against Sweden, then had an assist and the game-clinching empty net goal against Finland to make the final against the United States.

If there’s anyone who could nab a point in a tight-checking affair, it’s Crosby. Add it all up, and it’s a very intriguing +750 SGP for this potentially epic Canada vs United States championship game tilt.
