The Oklahoma City Thunder (77-17, 51-7 home, 58-33-4 ATS) made a statement on Tuesday night with a 114-88 comeback victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (57-36, 28-19 away, 46-46-1 ATS) in the opening game of the 2025 Western Conference final. The odds are already out for Game 2 on Thursday and oddsmakers are bullish on OKC taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven affair.
MIN Timberwolves vs OKC Thunder Odds for Game 2
The MIN/OKC Game 2 spread has opened where the Game 1 spread closed: with the Thunder laying 7.5 points against the spread. On the moneyline, OKC is a -32 betting favorite with the Timberwolves coming back as +260 underdogs to even the series at one game apiece. The total has opened at 214.5, which is three points lower than the closing total for Game 1, but still 1.5 points higher than the opening Game 1 total.

OKC Dominates Game 1 as Anthony Edwards Goes Quiet in Crunch Time
Trailing by as many as nine last in the first half (47-38), the Thunder stormed back to narrow the gap to four by halftime and blitzed the Wolves 32-18 in the third quarter before cruising to a 114-88 victory. The Thunder easily covered the spread as7.5-point home favorites.
Over bettors – and there were a lot of them -were sorely disappointing as the teams combined for just 202 points against a total of 217.5. The Game 1 total opened at just 213.0 before being bet up 4.5 points. Roughly four hours before tip-off, the NBA public betting splits showed a staggering 96% of O/U handle on the over.
Soon-to-be NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game-high 31 points for the Thunder in the win, including going 11-of-14 from the free-throw line.
Despite his 27 field-goal attempts and 14 free-throws, SGA still fell half a point shy of his 31.5-point O/U in Tuesday’s NBA player props.
Julius Randle had a team-high 28 for the Timberwolves in a losing effort. Leading scorer Anthony Edwards had just five of his 18 points in the second half.
