- Week 8 delivers three conference matchups worth a close look on prediction markets
- Offensive efficiency, red-zone finishing and a quarterback change shape the board

Saturday brings a busy Week 8 college football board, with key conference games in Miami, Ann Arbor and Auburn. Quarterback availability and offensive efficiency give each matchup a different betting angle.
Comparing prediction markets with the college football odds at traditional sportsbooks helps put each price in context. Kalshi is another option to compare when the same game is offered. A contract price works as an implied probability, so a 73¢ share reflects roughly a 73% chance.
Below are my college football prediction market picks for Week 8, including the best Kalshi and Polymarket bets
College Football Prediction Market Picks for Week 8
All three picks are favorites, so the case rests on matchup strength rather than long-shot payouts. A Yes share bought at 92¢ pays $1 if Miami wins, while a winning Indiana or LSU share bought at 73¢ pays $1, a 27¢ profit before fees. Fees and price movement before kickoff can change that math, so check the live order book before buying.

CFB Prediction Market Pick #1: Miami vs Pittsburgh
- Pick: Miami Moneyline (Buy Yes at 92¢ on Polymarket)
Miami enters at 6-0 after outlasting Florida State 43-35 in double overtime. Heisman Trophy odds contender Darian Mensah has completed 80.8% of his passes for 294 yards per game and 18 touchdowns, while Malachi Toney torched the Seminoles for 11 catches and 154 yards.
Pittsburgh is 5-2 and can still move the ball, averaging 32.9 points and 450.1 yards per game while scoring on 24 of 27 red-zone trips. The problem is under center. Starter Mason Heintschel suffered a season-ending ACL injury, and Corey Dailey went 11-of-25 for 193 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in his first start, a 27-21 loss to Boston College.
That quarterback change decides my Miami vs Pittsburgh prediction. The Hurricanes’ passing game is humming, and I trust them to keep an inexperienced quarterback in catch-up mode at home.
CFB Prediction Market Pick #2: Indiana vs Michigan
- Pick: Indiana Moneyline (Buy Yes at 73¢ on Polymarket)
Indiana sits at 6-1, with its only loss coming 19-15 against National Championship odds candidate Ohio State. The Hoosiers average 36.6 points and 449.3 yards per game, convert 46.3% of third downs and have scored on 24 of 27 red-zone trips.
Michigan is coming off a 21-18 win over Penn State, and Michigan Stadium gives the Wolverines a real home edge. Still, they average just 22.7 points and 313.3 yards per game, convert 40.8% of third downs and have scored on 12 of 15 red-zone trips.
Michigan’s minus-3 turnover margin is a concern against an Indiana defense with 24 sacks. If the Hoosiers win early downs and force obvious passing situations, I expect them to control this Indiana vs Michigan matchup and leave Ann Arbor with a win. Before making any wager this weekend, scan the prediction market apps to find the best price.
CFB Prediction Market Pick #3: LSU vs Auburn
- Pick: LSU Moneyline (Buy Yes at 73¢ on Polymarket)
LSU averages 40.4 points and 504 yards per game. The Tigers have converted 56 of 105 third downs (53.3%) and scored on 35 of 40 red-zone trips (87.5%), so they sustain drives and finish them.
The defense backs it up, allowing just 15.9 points, 256.4 yards and 88.1 rushing yards per game with 27 sacks. Holding opponents that far under 100 rushing yards should push the home side into uncomfortable passing downs.
The road setting is the main counterpoint. Jordan-Hare Stadium is a difficult place to play, and LSU’s minus-2 turnover margin could keep Auburn within reach if the visitors get careless. My LSU vs Auburn prediction still leans on that defense to handle the road test.
