Pacers vs Knicks Parlay Leg #1 – Haliburton Under 9.5 Assists
Proving that the playoffs are a different beast than the regular season, Tyrese Haliburton had himself a whale of a series against the Cavaliers, but in ways that didn’t always show up on the stat sheet.
He averaged 9.2 assists during the regular season, which ranked third in the NBA, but he failed to hit the 9-assist line in the final four games against Cleveland, and has gone Under his 9.5 dime line five times in the last six games.
In three regular season games against the Knicks, Hali didn’t do as much dishing either, save for one game where he had 14 assists, combining for 13 in the other two games, both falling Under the total.
That doesn’t mean that he won’t be prominent in New York in Game 1, just that he won’t be dishing as freely as he had been in Round 1 against Milwaukee, and in the regular season.
As the defense tightens, those straight line drives and dishes just aren’t going to be there, and will take multiple movements of the ball to get buckets.
- The Bet: Haliburton Under 9.5 Assists (-140 at Bet365)
Pacers vs Knicks SGP Leg #2 – KAT Over 22.5 Points
Karl-Anthony Towns certainly lived up to what the Knicks brought him to New York for: a dominant wingman to Jalen Brunson.
He was a brute against Boston, finishing the series averaging 19.8 points and 12.7 rebounds.
His scoring line is a gettable 22.5 points, even if it’s a figure he crossed just once against Boston. He was around that number almost all the time, missing the Over by a bucket on three different occasions and two buckets on another.
The Pacers know that Brunson is the driving force behind the Knicks’ offense, but Towns can be a difference maker if he makes the most of his opportunities.
He’s had a 30-point and a 40-point game against the Pacers this season, and averaged 30.3 points in three games.
- The Bet: Towns Over 22.5 points (-115 at Bet365)
Pacers vs Knicks Samge-Game Parlay Leg #3 – Bridges Over 1.5 steals
Mikal Bridges’ defense was a real weapon against the Celtics, more so than his 14.7 points per game.
Bridges recorded at least one steal in every game of the series, and had multiple steal games in four of the six games against Boston.
Overall, he’s had seven games with at least two steals, and only had three games this entire playoffs where he hasn’t registered a swipe.
Indiana has the second-best turnover-per-game total of the final four teams still standing, but the Knicks are the second-ranked steal team.
Bridges is always around the ball, and will likely shuttle assignments between Haliburton and Pascal Siakam. I like his ability to alter the game without needing the ball, and we should see it again Wednesday night.
- The Bet: Bridges Over 1.5 steals (+130 at bet365)
