After Scottie Scheffler won the Claret Jug to take the British Open title, the PGA Tour heads back to the States for the 3M Open in Minnesota.
With the final men’s major in the rear view mirror, not a lot of big name star power are teeing it up at this event. However, Chris Gotterup finished third at the Open Championship, and Wyndham Clark was tied for fourth, and they’re competing at this tourney. In the six years that this has been stop on the circuit, double-digit under par scores have been shot by all the champions.
3M Open Odds 2025
Sam Burns enters as the favorite following a T-45th showing at the British Open, though he has posted seven top-20s in his last ten starts. Gotterup has the second shortest after his victory at the Genesis Scottish Open and then a third place finish at the Open Championship. Maverick McNealy is the third choice to claim the title.

Taylor Pendrith starts my card this week, as he finished solo fifth at the 3M Open last year. That tournament, the Canadian gained nearly eight strokes on the field tee-to-green.
Before a stumble at the Open, Pendrith had been trending quite nicely, with a T-5 at the PGA Championship, T-12 at the Memorial and T-13 Scottish Open among his last handful of tourneys. In his last 24 rounds on the PGA Tour, he’s fifth in total strokes gained, of those competing at the 3M Open.
Odds as of 9:30pm ET on July 20th at DraftKings. If you happen to be in Missouri, online sports betting is set to launch before the end of the year. Keep up with the latest Missouri sports betting apps to know all the details, including launch date and signup promos!
Six 3M Open Winners
This championship is pretty wide open, with the top three choices on the board sporting shorter odds than Pendrith. You can get him at +2500 on DraftKings, and potentially slightly longer odds at other books when they offer odds Monday morning. Still stuck on one career victory, Pendy has as good a shot as anyone to add to his trophy case in Minnesota.
3M Open 2025 Picks & Value Bets
- Akshay Bhatia +4000: I have a gut feeling about Akshay Bhatia this week, despite him not exactly lighting the world on fire lately. That’s not to mean he’s been playing poor golf, as he had a T-30 at the British Open, which was his fourth top-30 in his last six events. In the last 24 rounds on tour, he’s third in strokes gained: approaching the green.
- Kevin Yu +5000: Reigning Sanderson Farms Champion Kevin Yu has made the cut both times he’s played here, and despite coming off a missed cut at the Open, has been very solid of late. In his last eight outings, he’s put up a pair of top-5s, with a third at the RBC Canadian Open and a fourth at the Myrtle Beach Classic, one shot out of a playoff. In the last twelve rounds, Yu ranks second off-the-tee and seventh in ball striking.
- Cam Davis +8000: Cam Davis has been extremely efficient around TPC Twin Cities in his career, with four top-20s in his last five times teeing it up. In the last 24 rounds at this track, he ranks third in SG: tee-to-green, and fifth in total strokes gained. As is often the case, he’s extremely boom or bust, but at this price, against a weaker field, I love the value.
- Beau Hossler +9000: Beau Hossler has been quietly playing quite well, putting together three straight top-15s. Hossler chased a T-11 at the John Deere with a T-14 at the ISCO Championship, then a T-4 at the Barracuda Championship. His first career triumph on the big stage has been elusive to date, so if anything, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
