Two pass catchers have a receiving yards prop Over 50 yards: for the Wildcats, it’s Jayce Brown, and for the Cyclones, Chase Sowell leads all at 57.5.

Iowa State vs Kansas State Prop #1: Avery Johnson Rushing Yards

Johnson was the team’s second-leading rusher a year ago, and the Wildcats’ identity is forged from a run game that ranked second in the Big 12, churning out better than 215 yards per contest.

He was a dual-threat dynamo against ISU, throwing for 220 yards and rushing for 64 yards on 13 carries in an eventual 29-21 loss.

Iowa State’s run defense only has room to improve, as it was second-last in the conference, allowing 188.4 yards on the ground.

In his senior year and fully immersed in this system, I like Johnson to find his way in the rush attack.

Iowa State vs Kansas State Prop #2: Rocco Becht Passing Touchdowns

Becht ranked Top 5 in the Big 12 with 25 TD passes, setting a new career high. Of note was his hot start to the year, where he threw for two scores in each of his first three starts, and four out of his first five.

It wasn’t his best statistical showing in the KSU win last year, when he went 13-for-35 for 137 yards, with his 37.1% completion rate the worst on the year.

However, he did throw two touchdowns, part of a stretch where he tossed at least two majors in five of his final seven games to close out the season.

He’s thrown for 2+ TD’s in both games against the Wildcats in his career, including a memorable 3-TD game against KSU in the snow in a Farmageddon classic.

Switching to the touchdown props market, Edwards and Hansen are the only players to have minus odds to hit the endzone.

Iowa State vs Kansas State Prop #3: Dylan Edwards Anytime TD

Someone is going to have to pick up the 205 carries, 1,343 yards and seven TDs that DJ Giddens provided before graduating to the NFL, and it appears that junior Dylan Edwards will get first crack.

He averaged 7.4 yards per carry last year and found paydirt five times on just 74 totes.

With an expanded role, Edwards should feature prominently in K-State’s opener and beyond.
