The Maryland Terrapins look to keep rolling when they host in-state FCS foe Towson on Saturday afternoon. The Terps have outscored opponents 59-16 through two weeks and bring a 14-game non-conference home winning streak into this one.
The college football odds reflect what should be a mismatch. Maryland sits as nearly 30-point favorites against a Towson squad that’s been beating up on FCS competition.
Kickoff is set for noon ET from SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland, with Peacock handling the broadcast.
Maryland vs Towson Odds
Maryland opened as 29.5-point favorites and the line hasn’t budged. The total sits at 50.5, with sharp money showing interest in the over based on Maryland’s recent September home scoring trends.

Washington Dealing for Maryland
Malik Washington continues to impress in his true freshman campaign. The 6-foot-5 quarterback has completed 59% of his passes for 512 yards with five touchdowns and zero picks through two games.
His protection has been flawless. Maryland’s offensive line hasn’t allowed a single sack this season, giving Washington all day to find receivers Shaleak Knotts (117 yards, 2 TDs) and tight end Dorian Fleming (106 yards, 2 TDs).
The defense has been equally dominant. Maryland forced six interceptions in Week 1 against Florida Atlantic, with two going for touchdowns. They’ve held opponents to just 3.2 yards per carry on the ground.
The only concern? Maryland’s ground game hasn’t gotten going yet, averaging just 99 yards per contest. That could be a focus against an overmatched FCS opponent.
Towson Riding High
The Tigers enter on a five-game winning streak dating back to last season. They’ve beaten Morgan State 27-22 and Norfolk State 27-7 to start 2025.
Quarterback Andrew Indorf has been efficient against FCS competition, completing 65.3% of his throws for 373 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. The problem is he’s averaged just 186.5 yards per game.
Towson’s defense has feasted on lesser competition with 13 sacks in two games. That pass rush faces a massive step up against Maryland’s stone wall offensive line.
The Tigers are averaging just 3.0 yards per carry on the ground. That won’t cut it against a Maryland defense allowing 3.2 yards per attempt to FBS competition.

SPORTSBOOK
Maryland will win this game easily. The question is whether they’ll cover the massive number.
The Terps are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus non-ranked opponents. They have a habit of taking their foot off the gas in the second half, especially with Big Ten play starting next week at Wisconsin.
Five of Maryland’s last six September home games have gone over the total. The Terps should put up at least 40 points themselves, and Towson can sneak in a touchdown or two against the reserves.
The total looks like the better play here. Maryland’s offense has been clicking with Washington, making quick reads and finding open receivers. Even if they pull starters early, the backups should still move the ball against an FCS defense.
Towson won’t completely roll over either. Indorf has been careful with the football and should find some success in garbage time when Maryland’s intensity drops.
Look for Maryland to be up big at halftime, then coast in the second half. That sets up nicely for both the over and a potential backdoor cover for the Tigers.
