The college football season rolls on Saturday, and I’ve scoured online sportsbooks looking for the biggest values in the college football player props market. Below you’ll find my three best bets for Week 9, and a detailed breakdown of why each selection stands out.
College Football Week 9 Player Props – Best Bets (Oct. 25)
My college football player props card starts with two of the most productive quarterbacks in the nation, as I’m betting over 2.5 TD passes for both Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson and Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza. I’ll round out my picks with over 59.5 rushing yards for Mendoza’s teammate Roman Hemby, who’s in a smash spot on the ground versus UCLA.

Week 9 College Football Player Prop: Sawyer Robertson TD Passes
Let’s start with Robertson, the FBS leader in passing yards and touchdowns. Robertson has thrown at least 3 TDs in five of seven starts so far, and is playing in one of the highest total games of Week 9.
Robertson and Baylor are small dogs vs. Cincinnati in a game with a 67.5 point total. The Bears throw at the country’s eighth-highest rate, while the Bearcats struggle to defend through the air.
Sawyer Robertson 2025 Passing Stats
Cincy’s pass defense ranks 123rd in passing yards allowed, 114th in opponent completion percentage and 81st in yards per pass. They’re also 131st in pass rush productivity, meaning Robertson should have plenty of time to pick them apart.
Week 9 College Football Player Prop: Fernando Mendoza TD Passes
Moving on to Mendoza now, who’s the favorite in the Heisman Trophy odds. The junior pivot tossed 4 TD last week, and has 3 or more touchdown passes in five of his past seven starts. The two outliers were in games versus Iowa and Oregon, the two toughest defenses he’s faced.
UCLA is much improved over the start of the season, but they still struggle mightily to get stops. The Bruins are 132nd in defensive success rate and 119th in EPA/drive allowed. They rank outside the top-122 in sack percentage and takeaways, and if UCLA can’t pressure Mendoza, they’ll have no chance covering as massive underdogs.
Mendoza has a 90.0 passing grade when kept clean this season, with a 78% completion rate, 16 TD and 0 INT or turnover-worthy plays.
Week 9 College Football Player Prop: Roman Hemby Rushing Yards
I’m going to continue to pick on the Bruins with Hemby on the ground. He’s the leader of the Hoosiers’ backfield committee, averaging 13 carries per game at 4.8 yards per carry.
Hemby has been featured in close games and blowouts alike, rushing for 100+ yards versus ODU and 70 yards in Indiana’s upset win over Oregon. The Hoosiers ability to pick up big plays on the ground as well as the air makes them an intriguing CFP National Championship odds contender, and the UCLA run defense is very exploitable.
The Bruins’ defense is 123rd in EPA/rush allowed and 118th in opponent yards per carry. The last time they faced a potent rushing attack, Penn State ripped off 157 yards against them, and I project a similar output for Indiana on Saturday, with Hemby shouldering the load.
