We watched a lot of football yesterday (as well as Saturday), but there’s still one game left. We need to tie a bow on this weekend, and the best way I know how to do that is with a matchup between the Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs. Is it going to be a good game? Probably not. But that’s not the point. The point is, there is a football game on our televisions, so we should probably get some action down. That’s just the way we roll. Now I’ve already been through every possible thing that could possibly happen, and it’s not looking good. That’s the bad news. The good news is, we have an unconventional two-leg same-game parlay that has no shot of losing. We had to thread the needle a little, but we got the job done. Shout out to us. Feels glorious.

The two legs of this WASH/KC same-game parlay – which are both -172 or shorter – spit out a +112 SGP at FanDuel. Check out SBD’s guide to learn about SGP betting for NFL.

Commanders vs Chiefs SGP Leg #1 – Rashee Rice Is Involved
Say what you want about Rashee Rice, but the man can play football. He’s got everything we could possibly want in a wide receiver. Size, speed, hands, everything. He’s the perfect weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
What makes him a cheat code is the fact that Andy Reid can scheme him into one-on-ones with linebackers.
No one was really sure what Rice would look like when he came back last week. The guy hadn’t played an NFL game in over a year after injuries and suspensions. But, as we saw, Rice looked as good as ever, even if it was against a super-weak Las Vegas Raiders team.
The thing about tonight’s game with the Commanders is the fact that they’re not much of a squad at this point, either, so Rice has basically landed another soft matchup. We can blame injuries, but it’s true. We just saw CeeDee Lamb tune these guys up the last time they put their jerseys on. My guess is Rashee Rice has a banner night.

WASH vs KC Same-Game Parlay Leg #2 – Marcus Mariota Can Still Run
Now it’s time to get a little creative. We’re going to need to run a play back on the other side, but when we look at the Washington offense, it’s tough to figure out who to run with. They’re going to be without Jayden Daniels, which is a gigantic problem.
Lucky for us, Marcus Mariota will be starting tonight, and he’s got wheels. We’ve seen them.
I can hear the haters now, “Slop, that play was almost ten years ago.” So what? When you house an 87-yard run in the NFL, let me know. That play was incredible and can never be taken away from Mariota. Even if it was in a different lifetime.
The thing is, Mariota can still run. Just last game, he came in after Daniels went down and took two rushes for 34 yards. There was the Falcons game when he only ran the ball twice all game, but those runs went for 20 yards, so there is that. My guess is he follows in the footsteps of Trevor Lawrence, Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, and Justin Herbert, who all ran for 25+ yards against this Chiefs defense. Feels easy.
- Commanders/Chiefs SGP: Rashee Rice 5+ Receptions + Marcus Mariota 25+ Rushing Yards (+112) at FanDuel
