College GameDay returns to Salt Lake City for the sixth time in program history. The show sets up at President’s Circle on the University of Utah campus as the No. 24 Utes host No. 17 Cincinnati in a crucial Big 12 showdown.
This marks Utah’s sixth GameDay appearance overall and first of the 2025 season. Former Utah quarterback and ESPN NFL analyst Alex Smith joins as celebrity guest picker. Smith led the Utes to a perfect 13-0 season in 2004, throwing for 2,952 yards and 32 touchdowns before being selected first overall in the NFL Draft.
College GameDay Details
The pit opens at 7:00 AM MT with fans ready to support their Utes. Cincinnati enters 7-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play, tied atop the standings with BYU.
Both teams are coming off dominant victories. Cincinnati demolished Oklahoma State 49-17, while Utah bounced back from early struggles with a 53-7 dismantling of Colorado. The Utes need this win to keep their Big 12 title hopes alive after losses to Texas Tech and BYU.
College GameDay Picks – Week 10
The panel shows consensus on four games this week, with all five analysts agreeing on Ohio State over Penn State, Georgia over Florida, Texas Tech over Kansas State, and Navy over North Texas.
The most divisive matchup is the Army-Air Force rivalry, with the group splitting 3-2 in favor of Air Force. Oklahoma-Tennessee and USC-Nebraska also have notable disagreement, with 3-2 splits favoring Oklahoma and Nebraska respectively, while Vanderbilt-Texas sees Saban and Smith going against the other three in backing the Longhorns.

Week 9 College GameDay Results
Week 9 saw Saban and guest picker Nate Bargatze share the lead with 6-2 performances. The crew struggled with several upsets, including Memphis over South Florida and Ole Miss over Oklahoma. Vanderbilt’s victory over Missouri proved key in separating the field.
The biggest miss was Texas A&M’s dominant 49-25 win over LSU. Only one picker correctly had the Aggies in that matchup. Iowa’s 41-3 destruction of Minnesota was another game where the panel split.
Cincinnati vs Utah Odds & Analysis
Kickoff: 10:15 PM ET on ESPN at Rice-Eccles Stadium
The line has moved from Utah -7.5 to -10, showing sharp money backing the Utes despite heavy public action on Cincinnati. Utah’s home record at altitude is dominant – they’re 8-2 ATS as home favorites of 7+ points over the past two seasons. Cincinnati’s 7.5 penalties per game could prove costly in the loud environment where communication breakdowns lead to false starts.
Utah’s 54.2% third-down conversion rate allows them to control the clock and wear down opponents. Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby has been brilliant with 20 touchdowns to just one interception, but the altitude and crowd noise create unique challenges. The Utes have won their last two Power Five matchups by a combined 97-27.
- Pick: Utah -10 (-115)
Other Week 10 Featured Games
No. 9 Vanderbilt at No. 20 Texas
Line: Texas -3 | Total: 46.5 | Kickoff: 12:00 PM ET on ABC
Vanderbilt is ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 1947. The Commodores have defeated three ranked teams this season behind quarterback Diego Pavia. Texas will start Arch Manning at quarterback after he officially cleared concussion protocol.
The Commodores’ rushing attack ranks 23rd nationally at 203.4 yards per game. Texas allows just 88.5 rushing yards per contest. Vanderbilt’s 89.5% red zone efficiency could be the difference in what projects as a defensive battle.
- Pick: Vanderbilt +3 (-117)
No. 5 Georgia vs Florida
Line: Georgia -7.5 | Total: 50.5 | Kickoff: 3:30 PM ET on ABC
The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party returns to Jacksonville for the final time until 2028 due to stadium renovations. Georgia has won four straight in the series and seven of the last eight matchups.
Florida’s red zone efficiency sits at 95.7%, meaning they capitalize when reaching scoring position. Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton has thrown for 1,548 yards and 10 touchdowns. The neutral site in Jacksonville traditionally produces close games regardless of rankings.
- Pick: Florida +7.5 (-116)
No. 14 Tennessee vs No. 18 Oklahoma
Line: Tennessee -3 | Total: 57.5 | Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET on ABC
Both teams enter with 6-2 records and two SEC losses, making this an elimination game for playoff hopes. Tennessee ranks second in the FBS at 45.6 points per game. Joey Aguilar threw for 396 yards and three touchdowns in the Vols’ last outing.
Oklahoma’s defense ranks first nationally in tackles for loss per game (11.1) and second in sacks per game (3.6). The Sooners have won six games by holding opponents to an 18% third-down conversion rate. Neyland Stadium at night provides one of college football’s toughest environments.
- Pick: Tennessee -3 (-111)
No. 1 Ohio State vs Penn State
Line: Ohio State -20.5 | Total: 44.5 | Kickoff: 12:00 PM ET on FOX
This spread has exploded from Ohio State -4.5 to -20.5, creating value on the underdog. Penn State is 7-3 ATS as road underdogs of 14+ points over the past three seasons. Ohio State is just 3-7 ATS as home favorites of 17+ points since 2022 – the market consistently overvalues their dominance.
Penn State’s balanced rushing attack (169.6 yards per game) can control the clock and keep this closer than expected. Former Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles brings insider knowledge as Penn State’s highest-paid assistant. The Nittany Lions are 4-1 ATS following losses by seven points or fewer.
- Pick: Penn State +20.5 (-108)
No. 23 USC at Nebraska
Line: USC -4.5 | Total: 60.5 | Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET on NBC
Nebraska is staging a blackout promotion for Saturday night’s game. The Huskers are 1-7 in November games under Matt Rhule, with all seven losses by one score. USC averages 530.0 total yards per game, third nationally.
Nebraska commits just 1.0 turnover per game while generating 1.25 takeaways. USC’s third-down conversion rate of 53.1% ranks sixth nationally. Memorial Stadium at night creates one of college football’s most hostile environments.
- Pick: Nebraska +5.5 (-114)
