Just four teams are on bye in Week 10, yet three of them feature defenses we love to target in the anytime touchdown bets market. The Bengals, Cowboys and Titans have all been punching bags for enemy offenses this season, but with them sitting out, we’re forced to look elsewhere for defenses to pick on.
Fortunately, both the Dolphins and Giants are on the slate. Miami and New York have been bleeding touchdowns to opponents lately, and I expect that to continue based on their Week 10 matchups.
Best NFL TD Scorer Picks (Week 10)
The “best odds” in the table are as of 8:00 pm ET, November 8. Readers can bookmark SBD’s NFL player props page to see up-to-the-minute props for every Week 10 game.
James Cook Anytime TD (-175)
Let’s start with the Dolphins, who face Josh Allen, James Cook and the Bills. Buffalo is a top-two Super Bowl 60 odds contender, and their run game is a major reason why. The Bills rank second in both EPA/rush and rushing touchdowns. Cook and Allen have combined for 14 of Buffalo’s 16 rushing scores, and I like them both to hit pay dirt on Sunday.
James Cook Rushing Stats
I’ll get to Allen later, since Cook is my favorite touchdown bet this week. He’s averaged 23 carries over the last two games, and already punished Miami for 100+ yards and a score earlier this season.
The Dolphins defense has been run over by enemy rushing attacks all season, ranking bottom-six in EPA/rush and rushing touchdowns.
Christian McCaffrey Anytime TD (-160)
As long as Christian McCaffrey is healthy, he’ll be a weekly anytime TD target. CMC is the heart and soul of the Niners offense, accounting for 229 touches already, 183 more than any of his teammates.
McCaffrey has scored eight times this season, including a month ago against Sunday’s opponent, the Rams. Speaking of LA, their defense is extremely overrated. They surrendered 26 points to a depleted San Fran team five weeks ago, and a combined 60 points to the Eagles and Colts.
CMC is a threat to score through the air and on the ground, and I bet he gets in at least once in a game with one of the highest totals on the slate.
Jahmyr Gibbs Anytime TD (-145)
We struck out with Jahmyr Gibbs last week, but now he faces a horrific Commanders defense on Sunday. Washington has allowed 66 points over the last two weeks and ranks below league average in EPA allowed versus the run and the pass.
Like McCaffrey, Gibbs is a threat to score in both facets of the offense. He’s found the end zone 38 times in 40 career regular-season games, and has seen 40 more touches than any of his teammates.
Puka Nacua Anytime TD (-135)
Back to the Niners-Rams matchup, where LA’s offense is set up for success. San Fran’s defense has been decimated by injuries, and grades out bottom-eight in both pass rush and coverage.
That means Matthew Stafford is going to have all day to throw, which signals big things for Puka Nacua. Stafford’s favorite receiver averages over 10 targets per game, and has 168 more yards after the catch than any other Rams player. Either Nacua busts a big play to score or beats his man on an end zone route. One way or another, Nacua’s finding the box.
Josh Allen Anytime TD (-110)
We’ve already covered why the Bills elite rushing attack is primed for success, but let’s dive deeper into Allen. He has an NFL record 47 games with both a passing TD and rushing TD on his resume, and has scored four times in his last two starts alone.
Allen has dominated Miami over the course of his career, and I don’t expect that to end anytime soon. He’s 13-2 all-time versus the Fins, with 40 passing TD and 5 rushing scores. I bet he adds to both of those totals on Sunday.
Kyle Monangai Anytime TD (-105)
D’Andrew Swift is back in the Bears lineup after a one-game absence, but that doesn’t mean you should forget about Kyle Monangai. He played way too well in his first start to not warrant more playing time, and the advanced numbers suggest he should be dominating the workload.
Monangai is fresh off a 198-yard performance and has the second-highest percentage of carries that have resulted in a 5+ yard gain in the league. The matchup versus the Giants is exceptional, and both he and Swift can eat. New York has surrendered the second most rushing TDs and ranks last in EPA/rush allowed.
Monangai is a bigger, more physical runner than Swift, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s elevated to Chicago’s primary goal-line back.
Jaxson Dart Anytime TD (+190)
On the other side of that game, the Giants are running out of weapons. That means Jaxson Dart is going to have shoulder even more of the offensive burden, and he certainly doesn’t shy away from contact.
Dart has 51 carries and 5 rushing TD through his first eight NFL starts. Neither Devin Singletary nor Tyrone Tracy is much of a short-yardage back, so expect Dart to keep the ball when the Giants get in close. Chicago is far from an opposing defense, ranking third-worst in success rate.
Oronde Gadsden Anytime TD (+200)
The Steelers are extremely vulnerable against tight ends. That sets up well for Oronde Gadsden, who’s quickly becoming one of Justin Herbert’s favorite targets. Gadsden has 60+ receiving yards in each of his past four games, and two TDs in his last three outings.
The Chargers offensive line is a mess and can’t stand up to Pittsburgh’s top-3 pass rush. That means Herbert is going to have to get the ball out quick, and no one will benefit more from that than his big tight end.
