NBA Player Props Bet #1: Cade Cunningham Assists

Cade Cunningham Over 8.5 Assists (-141 at DraftKings)

Cunningham has been one of the best facilitators in the league this season, averaging 9.7 assists per game. Over his last five, that number has ticked up to 10.2. The 8.5 line gives us a full assist of cushion below his recent average.

Tonight’s matchup against Golden State sets up well for the young point guard. The Warriors are dealing with significant wing depth issues with Jimmy Butler III out for the season and Jonathan Kuminga sidelined. Cunningham will need to facilitate heavily for Detroit to stay competitive, and the absence of Golden State’s best defenders clears the runway for him to operate.

Cade Cunningham Assist Trends

The juice is a bit steep at -141, but Cunningham’s consistency makes this a comfortable play. He’s been above this 8.5 mark in all three sample sizes and the matchup only adds to the appeal.

NBA Player Props Bet #2: Domantas Sabonis Rebounds

Domantas Sabonis Over 10.5 Rebounds (-123 at DraftKings)

Sabonis is averaging 13.3 boards per game this season. The 10.5 line sits nearly three full rebounds below his season average, giving us a nice cushion.

The matchup against Boston actually plays into Sabonis’s strengths. The Celtics shoot a high volume of threes, which statistically leads to more long rebounds. Sabonis excels at tracking these down, and he’s historically dominated on the glass against Boston with a 14.1 RPG average in previous matchups.

With Tatum out and Brown doubtful, the Celtics’ offensive rhythm will be disrupted. Expect more missed shots and more opportunities for Sabonis to clean up on the boards.

NBA Player Props Bet #3: Donovan Clingan Rebounds

Donovan Clingan Over 11.5 Rebounds (-119 at DraftKings)

Clingan has been on an absolute tear on the glass lately. The Portland big man is averaging 10.8 rebounds per game this season, but over his last five games that number jumps to 15.2 RPG. His last 10 games sit at 13.1 RPG.

The 11.5 line is well below his recent production, and he’s facing a Knicks team at Madison Square Garden where boards will be contested. Karl-Anthony Towns (12.8 RPG) and Mitchell Robinson (8.4 RPG) anchor the New York frontcourt, but Clingan’s motor and positioning have been elite recently.

Donovan Clingan Rebound Trends

This is a hot streak play. When a big man is grabbing 15+ boards over a five-game stretch, you ride the wave until it breaks.

Other Props to Consider

LeBron James over 6.5 assists (-117) is worth a look against Washington. He averages 6.3 assists this season, but against the Wizards historically he’s averaged 9.1 assists per game. The matchup advantage is significant.

I’d avoid Jalen Duren over 11.5 rebounds (+103) despite the plus money. He’s averaging just 9.8 RPG over his last five games and 9.7 over his last 10, well below the posted line.
