  • Michigan is a 1.5-point favorite over Arizona in their Final Four matchup on Saturday
  • These two programs have the shortest and second shortest odds to win March Madness
  • My early picks for Michigan vs Arizona can be found below, along with the latest odds and how to watch

The Final Four is set, with a pair of No. 1 seeds clashing in what could be one of the best Final Four matchups of all-time. The Arizona Wildcats (36-2, 16-2 Big 12) will face the Michigan Wolverines (35-3, 19-1 Big Ten) with a ticket to the National Championship Game on the line, and online sportsbooks are siding with Michigan by a razor thin margin in the opening college basketball odds.

Arizona has won and covered in all four of their NCAA Tournament games so far, and I’m siding with them on the moneyline ahead of this mega showdown. I’ll also be betting under 157.5 points in this matchup of elite defenses, so keep reading for the full analysis behind my early picks for Michigan vs Arizona, along with the latest odds and how to watch.

Michigan vs Arizona Odds

As of Monday afternoon, the best place to bet the Wildcats to pull off the upset is FanDuel. You can get +106 odds on an Arizona victory, while Bet365’s -120 odds on a Wolverines win is the top price in market.

Total-wise, make sure to shop around. If you want to tail my under wager visit Bet365, whose over/under line is currently a point higher than consensus.

The Wolverines and Wildcats will enter the Final Four with the shortest and second shortest March Madness championship odds. At first glance, Michigan holds a razor-thin statistical edge in offensive production (87.7 PPG) and overall point differential (+18.1). However, when projecting how these teams will perform at the Final Four Arizona’s momentum and defensive metrics provide the true mismatch.

Arizona is surrendering just 68.8 points per game, a staggering achievement considering the gruelling nature of the Big 12 schedule. This lockdown capability perfectly supports my read on a lower-scoring environment. Furthermore, the most glaring mismatch on the stat sheet is found in late-season execution. Arizona enters the matchup with an unblemished 10-0 mark in their last 10 contests, riding an active 13-game winning streak. Michigan, while an elite 9-1 over their last ten, has shown marginal vulnerabilities that Arizona has avoided down the stretch.

A total of 157.5 feels entirely too generous for this environment. Historically, unders hit at a nearly 63% clip when elite defensive college teams transition into cavernous NFL dome stadiums with totals set above 150 points. The altered shooting sight lines and deeper backgrounds frequently cause perimeter shooters to go ice cold in the opening minutes.

While college basketball public betting circles often gravitate towards the over in high-profile matchups, the elite defensive nature of both squads makes backing offensive stars incredibly risky. The defensive length of Michigan matches up perfectly with Arizona’s primary weapons, making points difficult to come by for both programs.
