We are exactly two weeks away from the NFL Draft, and you can now wager on who will be the 2026 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Prediction market Kalshi is the first site to offer prices, and unsurprisingly, they’ve pegged projected 1st overall pick Fernando Mendoza as one of the top choices.

As far as I’m concerned, Mendoza is not the best selection in this NFL futures market, so keep reading for the available 2026 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, and my favorite value picks.

At the time of writing, Kalshi’s market is still being bet into place. Mendoza is on track to be the favorite in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, trading at 67 cents to win the award. That’s the shortest price at the time of writing, which is equals -203 odds in traditional sports betting terms. Not exactly great value.

I think the more interesting trade is for him not to win the award, while I’m also looking to buy Carnell Tate and Jeremiyah Love as winners in this market.

Early Offensive Rookie of the Year Pick #1

• Fernando Mendoza NO (82¢ at Kalshi)

Before I get into my top contenders to win the award, I want to break down why I think Mendoza is someone we should be betting to not claim the hardware.

Unless something earth shattering happens, the Indiana star is going to be selected number one by the Raiders, and there aren’t many worse situations for a QB to step into.

Let’s start with the offensive line. Las Vegas grades out 31st in that category by industry experts, with zero lineman ranked in the top-50 at their respective position.

As for the skill players, Brock Bowers is an amazing target when healthy, but the wide receiving room is replacement level at best. Ashton Jeanty is a talented back, but running behind a terrible o-line drastically craters his ceiling.

When he does play, Mendoza is going to constantly be under siege and without reliable outside threats. Speaking of playing time, how many snaps he’ll actually take in year one is also a big question mark.

The Raiders brought in Kirk Cousins to be their starter and to groom Mendoza. In a perfect world, Las Vegas would sit Mendoza for the bulk of the season, only unleashing him once the season is lost and Mendoza has had plenty of time to study under a veteran. Of course, there’s always the chance he could be thrown into the fire earlier than expected, but that will only hinder his development.

Add it all up and he’s an easy fade.

Early Offensive Rookie of the Year Pick #2

• Carnell Tate YES (25¢ at Kalshi)

As for who profiles as a winner for this award, how about Tate. He’s currently trading at 25 cents, which is the equivalent of +300 odds.

Tate is arguably the best wide receiver prospect in the Draft, and should find himself in a favorable situation if he goes somewhere between pick 7 and 10 where he’s projected.

A few of those teams in that window are trendy Super Bowl odds contenders, and his pedigree and skillset is that of a game changer. Tate averaged over 17 yards per catch in his final season at Ohio State, often overshadowing Jeremiah Smith, who is a top-five pick next year.

Tate is athletic, with sure hands, and excels at contested catches. He’s also a strong, reliable blocker, a trait that will keep him on the field for the bulk of his team’s offensive snaps. He can affect the game in many ways, and is next in the long line of great Buckeyes receivers who will dominate at the NFL level.

Early Offensive Rookie of the Year Pick #3

• Jeremiyah Love YES (40¢ at Kalshi)

Onto Love, who’s trading at 40 cents, or roughly +150 odds. He’s widely considered the best overall talent in the Draft, with game breaking ability in both the rushing and receiving game.

Love led all prospects with 726 breakaway rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns and a 93.7 rushing grade from Pro Football Focus. He has the ability to transform the identity of whichever team he joins, and his touchdown upside make him a top contender for this award.

It all depends on where he ends up, but with the right scheme in front of him, he could be a future NFL MVP odds threat.
