My favorite bet tonight is under 5.5 goals. The defensive structure in this series has been completely suffocating, particularly in the neutral zone and on the Hurricanes’ end. Through the first three games of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Hurricanes have surrendered just three total goals, while the Flyers’ offense has been held to a dreadful 4.1% team shooting percentage.

When analyzing the tale of the tape, the most glaring mismatch lies in goal prevention and special teams dominance. The Hurricanes have constructed an impenetrable defensive wall during their postseason run, allowing a microscopic 1.14 goals per game backed by a staggering .957 team save percentage. Shifting over to the NHL props market, where the Flyers need their young playmakers to step up to avoid a sweep, and Matvei Michkov is in a prime spot to fire the puck. In this series, he has registered six shots on goal across three games. From a situational trend perspective, this is a phenomenal spot: Michkov has exceeded 1.5 shots on goal in six straight games after a loss, averaging 3.0 shots per game. With the Flyers’ season on the line, expect Michkov to look for his shot early and often.
