With the Super Regionals in the books, the field is now set for the College World Series. The tournament opens up Friday, with Prediction Market Kalshi listing Georgia as the favorites to win it all. The Bulldogs arrive in Omaha for seventh time this week and first since 2008. Their lone title came all the way back in 1990, and they enter in terrific form.
Despite their recent play, Georgia won’t be making my tournament betting card. Keep reading for the latest College Baseball World Series odds, plus my favorite picks for 2026.
College Baseball World Series Odds for 2026
As of Monday evening, the Bulldogs are priced at 25 cents, which is the equivalent of +300 odds in traditional sports betting terms. They’re followed closely by Texas and North Carolina, both priced as 21 cents (+376), while a little further down the board lies my favorite value in West Virginia (10¢, +900).

The Mountaineers metrics make them a very compelling longshot, and most importantly they’ve drawn a very favorable bracket. West Virginia is joined by tournament debutant Troy, along with UNC and Ole Miss, crucially avoiding the SEC powerhouses Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Oklahoma.
College Baseball World Series Picks for 2026
There are plenty of reasons to buy the Bulldogs. For starters, their offensive balance is terrifying. Georgia ranks second nationally in weighted Runs Created and OPS. Led by catcher Daniel Jackson, who’s put up video game numbers this season (31 HR, 86 RBI, 1.329 OPS), this lineup has no weak spots.
They swept their Regional and Super Regional games, but the last round was not without drama. They rallied for a 13-12 victory in their opener vs Mississippi State, and walked off Game 2 in 10 innings. The pitching performance last round is a definite cause for concern, as they yielded 21 runs over two outings. The Bulldogs offense bailed them out in those contests, but that kind of effort won’t fly in Omaha given the talent they’ll face. Georgia’s side of the draw is absolutely stacked, and I can’t justify current odds to win the College World Series given the matchups in front of them.
I’d rather target teams from the other side of the bracket. West Virginia is my favorite of the bunch, as they boast a staple of quality arms, and are excellent at manufacturing runs. Omaha’s deep gaps routinely suppress teams that rely too heavily on the longball. The Mountaineers own one of the lowest strikeout-to-walk ratios in the field, and are always on base. They own a .307 batting average and have drawn 319 walks in just 60 games. They average nearly two stolen bases per outing, and over 7.5 runs per game. West Virginia breezed through the Super Regionals, outscoring Cal Poly 29-3, and boast three elite starters.
They’ll draw Troy to open up the tournament, and a matchup against the lowest rated team in the tournament will allow them to save their best arms for the elimination games.
If West Virginia isn’t for you, you can’t go wrong with North Carolina. UNC breezed through the Chapel Hill Regional and then survived a grueling, winner-take-all Super Regional battle against USC.
North Carolina possesses the exact blueprint required to win in Omaha. They feature an explosive offense that hits for both average and power, and an excellent defense that has the speed to cover the spacious gaps. Their pitching staff does an excellent job limiting runs, and freshman Caden Glauber might be the best first year starter in the nation. He’s fresh off an 11 strikeout performance in the decisive Super Regional contest, proving he can shine brightest on the biggest stages.
Outside of Glauber, UNC boasts two more excellent starters, and a deep bullpen. They were the favorites to win the CWS before the Super Regional Round, and you could argue they have the best infrastructure of any team left to survive the double-elimination format.
