My top two picks tonight are the Yankees moneyline and Under 8 runs. When breaking down this matchup, the statistical divide in the MLB starting lineups points toward a clear side. The Yankees boast a superior offense, logging a .768 team OPS and 392 total runs compared to Detroit’s .710 OPS and 319 runs.

On the mound, The World Series odds contender holds the edge as well, fielding a collective 3.37 ERA against Detroit’s 3.84 mark. Given their distinct advantages at the plate and a more stable pitching staff, I trust New York to avenge their recent loss.

Tigers starter Casey Mize has been sharp, carrying a 2.58 ERA across 52.1 innings. On the other side, Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodón boasts a respectable 3.50 ERA with dominant strikeout stuff. I expect pitching to dictate the pace of this matchup, keeping runs at a premium
