The final four spots in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage are on the line today, and all four second-leg fixtures being the day deadlocked: AEK Athens vs Levski Sofia (0-0), Viking FK vs Dinamo Zagreb (2-2), NK Celje vs Slovan Bratislava (1-1), and Olympique Lyon vs Fenerbahce (1-1).
All four second-leg fixtures will kick off simultaneously at 3:00 PM ET on August 26.
I submitted all four matches to our proprietary A.I. model. The table below summarizes the computer’s UCL best bets for today’s slate. Under the table, find the model’s rationale for each pick.
Champions League A.I. Picks Today
The A.I. model likes three home sides to win in 90 minutes and identifies an aggressive total in Stavanger. The recommendations range from +156 on Slovenian side NK Celje to win in regulation against Slovan Bratislava, to -194 AEK Athens to do the same.
The model went 3-0 on Tuesday, backing a trio of home favorites who all came through.
AEK Athens vs Levski Sofia Prediction
The Pick: AEK Athens Moneyline (-194 at Kalshi)
A.I. Rationale: “Following a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Bulgaria, AEK Athens enters this decisive home fixture with a distinct situational advantage. Despite a slightly lower possession share (48%) in the first meeting, the Greek side generated 10 total shots against Levski Sofia. The visitors were marginally more active with 11 shots, but their inability to convert on their home pitch spells trouble.
“Returning to the 32,500-capacity OPAP Arena provides AEK Athens with an important rebounding opportunity. The model projects that the home side will leverage its localized edge, control the match and secure the necessary victory to advance.”
Viking FK vs Dinamo Zagreb Prediction
The Pick: Over 2.5 Total Goals (-159 at theScore Bet)
A.I. Rationale: “This matchup stands out for its offensive potential, highlighted by the thrilling 2-2 draw in the first leg that easily cleared this threshold. Dinamo Zagreb controlled the tempo with 55% possession and unleashed 20 total shots, forcing five on target.
“Conversely, Viking showcased ruthless fast-break efficiency. Despite generating only five total shots, three were on target. With Dinamo’s relentless shot creation and Viking’s ability to convert limited chances in transition, the matchup projects as a high-octane environment in Stavanger that should comfortably surpass 2.5 goals.”
NK Celje vs Slovan Bratislava Prediction
The Pick: NK Celje Moneyline (+156 at Polymarket)
A.I. Rationale: “After surviving a tense 1-1 draw on the road, NK Celje returns to Arena Z’dezele in a prime position to close out the aggregate series. Across their three head-to-head meetings, Celje managed to dictate the underlying metrics, holding an average possession edge of 17.67% to 15.67% over Slovan Bratislava during critical stretches of play.
“More importantly, the Slovenian side is the more accurate team, averaging 1.33 shots on target per match compared to Slovan Bratislava’s 0.67. Celje’s ability to limit accurate attempts gives the home side a distinct statistical edge and the potential to win in regulation.”
Olympique Lyon vs Fenerbahce Prediction
The Lean: Olympique Lyon Moneyline (+100 at Polymarket)
A.I. Rationale: “The model flags a strong lean toward the Lyon moneyline. The French giants recently battled Fenerbahce to a 1-1 draw, mirroring a 0-0 result from 2025. However, the underlying stats paint a picture of a Lyon squad that consistently outplays its Turkish counterpart. In their head-to-head history, Lyon dictates the flow with 52% average possession.
“Lyon also averages 12.0 total shots and 6.5 shots on target per match, eclipsing Fenerbahce’s averages of 9.5 total shots and 3.0 on target. Back at Parc Olympique Lyonnais, the model projects that Lyon’s superior shot volume can break through.”
