  • The Utah Utes host the Arkansas Razorbacks, and both teams are looking for their second win of the season
  • Both unblemished squads bring high-octane offenses into this late-night trench warfare.

College football is back under the lights, and I am FIRED UP for this Week 2 non-conference clash! Utah puts an impressive six-game winning streak on the line when they welcome Arkansas to Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Both programs sit at a perfect 1-0, but this late-night showdown on September 12, 2026 (10:15 p.m. ET), is where the rubber meets the road. Can the visiting SEC underdogs handle the grueling field position battle out West, or will the home team dictate the pace with their relentless ground and pound attack?

My Arkansas vs Utah predicting ground-and-pound scoring outlook and the Utes’ ground game. Below are the updated odds, player props and game selections.

Arkansas vs Utah Odds

Odds provided by Caesars Sportsbook, BetMGM and bet365 as of September 12, 2026, at 2:32 PM ET. Start betting at Caesars now to lock in these lines.

I always hunt for the absolute best numbers, and right now, the home favorites are laying nearly two full touchdowns. Utah boasts a steep -500 moneyline, yielding an implied win probability of 83.33%. Meanwhile, Arkansas sits at +375, translating to a 21.05% implied probability.

Removing the 4.25% sportsbook vig gives Utah a normalized 80.14% chance to win outright, leaving Arkansas with a 19.86% shot. A $20 bet on Utah yields a meager $4.00 in profit, while a $20 sprinkle on the road dogs pays out a generous $75!

Arkansas vs Utah Props

Prop 1: Wayshawn Parker over 81.5 rushing yards (-115 at Bet365)

My eyes are glued to the prop market, and the rushing attack is where the real betting value hides. Utah running back Wayshawn Parker provides excellent bang for your buck. I am locking in Wayshawn Parker Over 81.5 Rushing Yards (-115).

Utah has already amassed an ABSURD 364 rushing yards this season. Parker’s aggressive volume makes him a lock to wear down the defensive line in this heavy game script. He is the ultimate weapon in this offense.

Prop 2: Devon Dampier Anytime touchdown (-165 at BetMGM)

Quarterback Devon Dampier is a ground-and-pound weapon. He brings phenomenal pocket presence and an undeniable nose for paydirt. Therefore, my second play is Devon Dampier Anytime TD Scorer (-165).

Dampier’s rushing yardage prop sits at 52.5, proving the market expects him to scramble constantly. When they enter the red zone, expect his number to be called. Meanwhile, Arkansas quarterback KJ Jackson carries a passing prop of 213.5 yards, but he must avoid the turnover bug that has plagued his squad.

Arkansas vs Utah Predictions

Prediction: Utah 41, Arkansas 24.

Pick #1: Over 55.5 (-110 at BetMGM)

I am fully expecting massive offensive fireworks, meaning my favorite side to play is the total. I am slamming Over 55.5 (-110). Utah currently averages an outrageous 66.0 points and 633.0 total yards per game!

Arkansas is no slouch either, posting 31.0 points and 415.0 total yards in their opener. With zero turnovers this season, Utah’s ball security means maximizing every possession and relentlessly pushing the pace.

Pick #2: Utah -11.5 (-117 at Caesars Sportsbook)

When looking at the spread, I am firing on Utah -11.5 (-117). Arkansas has already surrendered the football three times this year.

Taking an SEC team out West is incredibly tough, but facing a relentless Utah offense that converts on third down at a 66.7% clip is an absolute nightmare. I expect the home team to dominate the trench warfare, build a massive lead, and cash these sports betting picks with a comfortable multi-touchdown victory.

Odds provided by BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook as of September 12, 2026, at 2:25 PM ET.

Let’s peek behind the curtain at the college football public betting trends. The moneyline market is entirely one-sided, with 97% of the handle and 96% of the tickets backing the home favorites.

However, the spread market reveals a fascinating sharp-versus-public dynamic. While 57% of the betting tickets are laying the points with the favorites, Arkansas actually commands 58% of the total money. Fading the public tickets to follow the sharp money is always a thrilling angle.

The most shocking discrepancy sits on the total. A MASSIVE 96% of tickets and 59% of the handle are riding on the Under. By backing the Over in my predictions, I am taking a fiercely contrarian stance.

Fading this overwhelming public support is the sharpest way to attack the board. While Arkansas currently boasts zero points allowed and Utah has given up just 14 points, their defensive facade is about to crack. Claim your BetMGM promo now and fade the public with me!
